We just got back, went 6/18/09 to 6/24/09 for our honeymoon. We used tripadvisor a lot before we went so I figured I would contribute. The GOOD->We uprgraded to the Laguna Villas and it was well worth it, private pool with upgraded liquor and huts, great room, free liquor in room, awesome outdoor shower, and FREE room service! bed was... more

Grand Riveria Princess was beautiful, no problem going back!! The princess side was closed so we stayed on the sunset side they are identical. Massive pools between both building. The lower pool side rooms have entry right into the water with private water loungechairs! We also paid for the upgrade to pool side. They were only 20% occupied. We paid... more

My husband and I just wanted a quick get-a-way to relax and have some fun. The only thing we actually enjoyed about this resort was the beach...it was beautiful!!! Most of all the staff had "mad" expressions on their faces and we actually had one staff member yell at my husband. The food was horrible. Even the "reservation" restaurants were... more

We went with our children, as well as my siblings and their children, in total 8 adults and 8 kids, as part of a birthday celebration. We had a fantastic time at this resort, and this was just before the swine flu scare hit. The resort is huge - yes, lots of walking between your room and the buffets and... more

The great things about the resort was that we had it basically too ourselves because of the ( swine flu). This resort was the most georgeous resort that... more

We had the perfect getaway(3 nights) and wished we could stay longer. The room and beach were fabulous. The specialty dinners and breakfast/lunch buffet were also very good and meticulously kept! The negative reviews are just not correct. Go Now - Mexico really needs the business. more

Do not book here!! My husband and I stayed at GRP in October 2008; and knew then we were not pleased with the service here. However; we planned a trip with our two teenagers, 2 grown children and son-in-law for June 2009 and for the price we thought why not; let's give it another try; we upgraded to the platnium... more

We loved our stay in this hotel. Of course, it was'nt crowded at all because of the swine flu scare but it was'nt a threat at all. We got to our hotel about 30-40 mins from the airport. Please ignore everyone by the gate or right when you get out of custom. They will ask you if you have transportation... more
