Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

The Royal Haciendas All Suites Resort & Spa garners high marks for its pristine grounds and exceptional service, with guests repeatedly commending the staff's dedication to creating memorable experiences. While the rooms are celebrated for their spaciousness and cleanliness, a few guests suggest that some areas could benefit from updates. The resort's vibrant atmosphere and traditional Mexican flair are popular, although the volume of the live music occasionally draws criticism. Despite the allure of its location and activities, the value proposition is sometimes questioned due to additional costs and timeshare pitches.

Not the resort we visited 2 years ago with our family. Lots changed and not for the better. It still has its good points, but beach erosion, no pool chairs available. Not nearly as many staff for food and beverages. One of the main reason we returned was because of the plentiful staff and easy to get food and drinks and a nice place to sit. On the plus side our maid service very good and we always left her a nice tip every morning as our gratitude. The breakfast was scaled way back, many items they ran out of even by 8 am. It was good when it was but our time has passed for a return. I didn't really want to write a negative review as I said we returned with our family 2 times in hopes of another fabulous family trip. We still had a good time but we all noticed the cut backs and changes.

Hotel's Favorite
When we booked out daughters wedding in the area of the Haciendas, we knew we would want our guests to stay here! We were able to get two amazing vacation specialist through Royal Reservations We had Mitzi Ailed Pelaez Clemente and Fanny Aurora Lopez. They worked with all 70 of our guests and were able to get everyone the accomodations they wanted and booked their transfer through Thomas Moore. They made the process so smooth for everyone! I didn't have to do a thing. I provided a list of our invited guests and they did the rest. They kept me updated with who had booked, etc. They were amazing??? During our visit in January of 2022 we met Efren Dzul Cetina, the Food and Beverage Assistant. He proposed to us to have a Welcome Party with a Beach BBque. I was able to book directly with him and over email, we were able to come up with a plan. He was extremely responsive to all my questions, and there were many! The day of the event we met with him and he went over the location and set up. That evening we arrived for our "beach bbque", which was 1000% better than we anticipated! The decor, the food, and again the service, was amazing. We were blown away! We had 40 guests in attendance and everyone felt so special They had a special welcome cocktail for all to enjoy, which was a surprise and everyone loved them. The food was delicious and plentiful! We opted for an open bar and they bartender was amazing. The desserts were amazing! This could have been a wedding, that is how nice it was. We were at the Haciendas for 10 days. The service to me is what makes a Royal Resort. I hate to name people in a review, because honestly, they were all amazing, but the attention to detail Efren had for not only our welcome party, but our entire stay. He made sure to check in with me to make sure everything was going well. He was able to assist me with renting our the private dining room in Los Murales. We needed multiple cakes, different nights and he took care of all of that for me! He truly made the week flow so nicely and took all the stress away from me. The waiters Cesar, Hercules and Ramiro who worked our welcome party were amazing! They also gave excellent service in other area of the resort as well. Yali, our concierge, was amazing! I started emailing with her weeks before our arrival. When you have 70 guests arriving, there is so much to coordinate. She was responsive, helped me with every single request I had. I cannot thank her enough, she really kept me organized! The bridal party had a spa day and that was all coordinated so they could all go together! It truly was a magical time. The restaurants are tough to get reservations for and I think pre-covid more guests went into town to eat some nights and that's what has caused the increase in onsite dining. A tip our concierge gave us was to walk by the restaurants and ask about a table being available. Some guests make reservations and never show up (so wrong, just cancel!), but most nights our guests did have luck at the restaurants. Also, don't forget about the delicious crepes at the Rotunda Bar and they also have great paninis! The breakfast buffet is my favorite meal! Also, at dinner at La Palapa del Sol, you can also order off of the menu, which has some great options! The food and service are top notch. Not sure if they have a new pastry chef, but I can say the dessert are so much better than they used to be. They are delicious! When we booked our room block and welcome party I didn't see any other reviews on Trip Advisor. You can get all information on rooms etc. on tons of other reviews, I wanted this to be more for people having events at The Haciendas. I so wish we could do it all again. We had our wedding off site, but the staff all knew we were there for a wedding. The amount of staff that stopped us and asked how the wedding was, asked to see photos, etc. meant the world to us. They truly are like family to us. Tip - if you have a wedding you can have your guests cut off their all inclusive wrist band - store it in their safe and the next day take the band to the front desk for a free replacement. You just have to give them your old wrist band. It was perfect as my daughter didn't want the bands in her photos! My dad is 92 years old and the process to rent him a scooter prior to arrival was so easy through the Market. The day of his arrival I brought it out to the bellman and told them my dads name and they had it ready and waiting for his arrival. There was no place my dad could not get to with his scooter! Even the beach! So accessible with the scooter!! Upon departure, the bellman said they would return it for us! They were so helpful. There are so many more people who provided incredible service and I unfortunately, don't know all of their names. I can say there was not one person who did not provide good service. Everyone works so hard and as a team.

We have been owners of Royal Haciendas since it opened and appreciate the way the staff always does an outstanding job of taking care of our needs. From being greeted with a smile upon registration to the helpfulness of all the servers at the restaurants and poolside. The resort is beautiful and impeccably maintained. Our family, who went with us for the first time, were very impressed! Thanks to everyone who made our vacation awesome!

We have been attending the Royals for 12 years and it gets better with every stay. We stayed for 2 weeks this time under our timeshare ownership but met many who were not members and they shared the same feelings of cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and good food.

As repeat guests, we had another wonderful stay! The staff, as usual, made the experience extra special. They are professional, friendly, and provide great customer service in all areas. We were treated extremely well by all staff and felt completely relaxed during our entire stay. The grounds are well maintained and clean. The food was absolutely delicious. It would be hard to be pick a favorite, but the Asian restaurant was a winner!

A very welcoming environment from the greeting by the bell captains and throughout the experience. The staff are more than willing to address any needs and/or requests. The facilities are very well maintained. The restaurant venues offer a wide variety of foods and the staff is very responsive to any food allergies/sensitivities. The pools are pristine and provide options for serious swimmers and those seeking a relaxing or playful environment. Evening provides entertainment options throughout the week.

My fault to have high expectations. My biggest concern was food. Absolutely disappointing, some dishes are not edible. My kids were hungry almost every night. I don’t mind the out dated 80’s look but constant disappointment with food in all restaurants was just crazy. You get what you pay for, 3 stars hotel at best.

Rosy Vinas at the front desk is on her feet all day and still wears a smile. She’s extremely competent, patient, and kind. I love seeing her every year. She remembers our names which makes us feel very welcome and at home. God bless you, Rosy. Keep up the good work.

This hotel is extremely average at best. How it obtained a Tripadvisor award is beyond me. Stayed in much better all inclusives for less money. We’re extremely disappointed. The food is very poor. The waits at breakfast long. One person only making eggs. They want $18 for a three mile taxi ride to Playa del Carmen as the free shuttle doesn’t run on of all days on a Saturday, not happy!! Positives are the staff are lovely, the rooms are fine and the place is spotlessly clean.
