Cocos is the perfect place to stay if the madness of Playa del Carmen just isn't your thing. 6 gorgeous little huts around a little pool with lush gardens and a wonderful restaurant. The pizza, guacamole and margaritas were fantastic and the owners were friendly and welcoming. It's a couple miles north of town and while its not directly on... More

My husband and I just returned home after spending 2 weeks at Coco's Cabanas. It was our first stay here, but won't be our last. We found it online and thought it sounded too good to be true. Not so. This hotel not only met our expectations, it exceeded them! Located 4 miles north of Playa del Carmen, it's perfect... More

Owner, Sylvia, knows customer service and demands the same of her friendly and capable staff. Boutique hotel. Six individual cabanas. All are clean, roomy, and well appointed: comfortable beds, a/c, hot water shower, Satellite television, safe, etc. You'll get to make friends with all other guests. Unlike huge resorts nearby, rooms, food and drinks are priced considerably fairer here. Fantastic... More

From the moment we arrived, the owner Sylvia made us feel welcome. We arrived at 7:30AM and she accommodated us, making us feel at home immediately. The restaurant is very delicious - so good we ate there all four nights of our trip. The bungalows are cute, cozy and unusual and they are all tucked away in a beautiful tropical... More

The staff were extremely friendly! We had a great time, not one complaint. You're surrounded by palm trees so there is a ton of privacy and just a minute walk to the beach. Great food and chips and dip!!

We stayed here for 3 nights en route from Belize back to Cancun. Totally agree with the comments about the local construction - when we arrived, the normal turn off from the highway (ie the one signposted with Cocos Cabanas) was closed because of pipe-laying and a deep trench in the road. Just go a bit further and take the... More

Totally agree with the preview review. Very accurate descriptions of the arrival to Coco's, you wonder what you have gotten yourself into, but the cabanas are so perfect, unique and charming that once you are there, you forget about the neighborhood around beach is beautiful, although a little bit of a treacherous walk there, but there are two very high... Pulling into the property, you may wonder, why you made the choice ? Due to Highway construction and nearby development we were driven to the property on a secondary road, through a construction site then a dirt road that would have given Indiana Jones reason for concern ! Not to worry, when you arrive at this little oasis, it is... More

This is our second time at Coco's. The owners, Sylvia and Helmut, are so friendly! The accommodations and nice, clean bungalows. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful with beautiful landscaping. The food is wonderful. There is a pizza oven that delicious pizzas come out of. Their seafood is wonderful too. There is a small pool that feels great on... More

I am not the type of person who usually seats to writes reviews but this place deserve it. Me and my wife visited Playa del Carmen attending to a business conference at a VERY expensive hotel ($3,500.00 night p/p). After it was over we wanted to stay one more night in the area to learn more about the Mexican culture... More
