Ok hotel. A littlebit far away from everything. Used like 30 minutes to go to the beach and to sentrum. Cost like 50 peso with taxi to the beach or sentrum. The room was okei, two big beds. Air condition was a littlebit to noisy i think. No minibar. The swimmingpool was nothing to brag about. Breakfast was toast, yoghurt,... More

We stayed at Magic Express for a single night. Our rooms were on the 1st floor (basement level). Although relatively clean, they were simple and rather bare. We had some minor issues flushing the toilet in our room. The hotel is located across the highway from the main Playa Del Carmen area and it is a bit of a walk... More

This hotel was clean and quiet for our week long stay. While making our trip arrangements, I chose this hotel because in the pictures the hotel looks very new and clean and looking at the map it didn't seem that far from the beach and fifth avenue. The Positives: Hotel staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast wasn't... More

I wen to the riviera maya with my family for vacations, our schedule included visiting tulum, chichen itza, cancun, coba, cenotes, etc, so basically we only wanted the hotel to come back at nigh and sleep. And for the price I would say we were really happy with Magic Express, Room was very comfotable and clean. We rented a car... More

the beds were hard like concrete slabs, the beach shuttle was "not working", the floors of the hotel were all large ceramic tiles and the noise in the hallways reverberated throughout, the pillows were hard and full of clumped stuffing, after being washed I guess, the front desk did not speak English after 8 PM and the breakfast was toast... This is just like a Holiday Inn Express and sometimes that is just what is needed to fill in a night or two between great airline price days and the availability of your expensive beach hotel. You can purchase cervesa, other drinks, and snacks. The gratis breakfast is skimpy but the coffee is fine and the price is very fair... More

We flew into Cancun, rented a car and stayed at this hotel in Playa Del Carmen on our way south. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean and we received a free continental breakfast with fresh fruit (papaya, mango, watermelon), pastries, coffee, tea and juice. We rented two rooms, one for two people and one for three (our daughters). We... More

We were looking for a cheap place to stay in Playa del Carmen so we booked 4 nights at the Magic Express. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the place. The bedrooms have a decent size, there is TV with cable for foreign programs, it is a very quiet hotel, matresses are very good, breakfast is included and... More
