I'm sure if you look at my past posts you will see my review raving about Mosquito Beach. The plus to this small hotel was that you have to be 16 and older to stay here (so no little kids), the beach location AND fabulous the staff. Well two of these have changed, the beach is quickly being washed away... More

The rooms are poorly maintain, it's surrounded by noise from constructions around it and they didn't even tell you about it or give you some sort of courtesy, the restaurant is horrible, the breakfast is terrible, the bathroom is really uncomfortable, definitly not worth it.

Good: Hotel was very nice, specially the Beach with super nice beach beds! Its kind of a lounge on the beach. Hotel is also located at very center of Playa del Carmen "tourist street". Staff is also very polite and helpful. Bad: First of all they stole money from our safetybox. I got so super pissed off because of that,... More

This was our third stay at Mosquito Beach. We should have known better. The beach in front of the hotel is completely depleted. The pictures need to be updated because it no longer looks like the expansive, clean, amazing beach it once was. It is now dirty, crowded, noisy and the view is obstructed by boats, jet skis, and huge... More

We booked here for one night on our way down to Tulum. Our initial impression was great. Very urban, hipster hotel. The room was beautiful with a view of the water. NO PARKING which we didn't know. At that point we would have paid for valet parking but not available. Also, be warned - they do not provide bottled water.... More

Great location, a stone's throw from 5th Ave. and friendly bi-lingual staff. Looking at he weathered wood including the pool deck and the rusty steel structure, and the demo immediately up the hill, I can only guess that this property is next to be torn down. The floor in our room and bath room was wood plank screwed down with... More

I had the largest and most expensive room available, but yet, bathroom is so small and inconvinient. Shower to small and no air extractor for example. Clean is not available. I found 3 cucarachas in my room and when I told the reception they just said it was "a city problem"!!!! The beach club wich is beautifully situated, is out... More

I actually went to the mosquito blue website and was booked at Mosquito beach instead. It was not a problem, however was never informed that Mosquito Blue had been torn down for a new development. It seems a little misleading that you think you are booking Mosquito Blue and get conformation for Mosquito Beach after you have already paid. The... More

We went here Christmas lunch. We waited over half an hour to see the menu. The waiter was very rude. Took another 30 minutes to get our drinks. Our food never arrived at all. After another hour we asked for the bill. The two drinks which were serviced half size in plastic cups cost over $25 usd. Other places along... More
