I recently stayed here for 5 nights on vacation with my significant other. This hotel is very cute and extremely clean, and the staff is great (especially Marco, who is particularly nice). The included breakfast is basic (cereal, toast, coffee, juice, tea etc.) but certainly good enough to start the day. Our room was small but comfortable (the "standard plus").... more

My husband and I stayed in Aqualuna Playa del Carmen for 7 nights and everything was outstanding!!! For the moderate price you pay you get an amazingly clean room, super friendly and helpful service, great location and a calm, pretty environment. Seriously we have not even a slight complaint about our stay, we couldn't be happier about our choice! Don't... more

We stayed at Aqualuna for 3 nites Dec 28 to 30th and have to agree with the previous recent comment" The staff are extremely friendly, the hotel is clean and a little oasis, our room was fine and it is very close to 5th avenue. However, the Cogo Bongo is a big problem for sure.....there is music, cars, people shouting... more

We stayed in Aqualuna this December and really liked the place! We had a gorgeous room with some lovely features. Staff were fabulous- always helpful and chatty. The only drawback was the noise... It gets pretty noisy at night! As the hotel is right beside a busy road, you will hear noise all the time. There is a big club... more

It's been a year since we went but I must say it was an awesome experience! We were in Playa during the summer when it's very HOT! We stayed the first night at the Blue Parrot which is a nice place. (We only stayed at Blue Parrot out of obligation to my cousins wedding.) First off when calling there before... more

The Aqualuna is a small boutique hotel located on 10th Ave so close enough to all the action of 5th, but far enough away that you don't hear the music all night. We stayed in room 4 which is small but cozy and clean. Maid service was great and WiFi worked great. AC is a wall unit, works great. Nice... more

We were greeted by Marco who was all smiles and "We've been expecting you." Nice and close to 5th Av. without all the noise. The beach is just a block beyond 5th Av. Lots of choices for meals in just about every direction. There is a laundry 3-4 doors down.....they did't speak english but sign language worked well and it... more

This place is great for its price. It is one block from Fifth Avenue (the pedestrian zone) and about three blocks to the beach. The rooms are spotless and very tastefully decorated. The garden area is delightful and every morning there is coffee, tea, cereal, bread, etc. set out for breakfast. The staff speaks English and is very friendly and... more

Aqualuna is a very nice, mid-priced hotel in Playa. It is very conveniently located to everything. Absolutely spotless everywhere. The rooms are charming, well decorated, and intimate. Great showers and bathrooms. Wireless works flawlessly. There is a really nice garden which, while small, takes you away from the streetnoise which you don't even notice (and I hate streetnoise). The design... more

What a charming little hotel! The tropical garden lobby is delightful, the rooms are comfortable and attractive, and the staff are sweethearts. We also appreciated their guest booklet with suggestions on shopping and restaurants close by. We had dinner at one of their suggestions, John Gray's Place, which had fabulous food and a more romantic, laid back atmosphere than a... more
