This is a spectacular hotel. They are a detail oriented and friendly place to visit either for leisure or business. We spent a week here and were always greeted/treated to the best treatment. The 'find' at this hotel was their casual restaurant, LaLagunda. The chef, Erick Sanz, is exceptional. Though he is normally behind the scenes with many, many people... More

I recently stayed at the Fairmont mayakoba with two of my girl friends for a relaxing and quick getaway. We thought what better than the mayakoba and the fairmont is usually a great option. There are several pros and cons to our trip but overall... my conclusion is that is is definitely NOT worth all that money. PROS: 1. Beautiful... More

Stayed here 6 nights - partially for a corporate event and then the remainder for personal. The staff here are extremely friendly and accommodating and we found our room to be clean and in good shape. We really enjoyed the privacy we felt in and around room - especially the nice balcony right on the water.

While the grounds are beautiful we had a terrible experience. My wife and I spent six nights with our two young daughters. We changed rooms four times, because our original rooms air-conditioning caught on fire and filled our room with smoke at about 10pm. The staff responded very slowly, my family and I were outside waiting for staff to arrive.... More

My husband and I booked this vacation as a romantic/couples get away, and Fairmont Mayakoba helped make that idea a reality. We booked through a deal on another website, not all inclusive of food and drink, and didn't realize what an awesome deal we got until we drove up to the hotel. The Mayakoba installation is huge, including three separate... More

I'll start by saying I've also stayed at The Rosewood in Mayakoba too so I'm sort of comparing what's available in Mayakoba. There are some very nice things about this hotel, almost everyone who works there is very nice. It's really beautiful and the pools are spectacular, the beach is nice. The cons: We were given a room facing a... More

Very unique property that also felt very private with a group of over 100 people and very good service all the time but especially the spa and excellent food including banquets which is not usually the case. Our breakfast and dinner each day was private and was really good. The service in most cases was also very good except the... More

We were made to feel so welcome by all of the staff. Our casita on the beach was idyllic. The plunge pool was a bonus and bigger than expected set at a perfect temperature. The beach was raked and cleaned every morning and the sand felt like powder under foot. Our butler Christian could not have been more helpful, The... More

This is a very nice resort with some of the best hotel staff I have ever experienced. (Only place where the staff were even better was the Savoy in London.) The Fairmont has 400 rooms (and there are two other hotels on the resort) but the units are laid out in such a way that you have a great deal... More

We spent a wonderful week at Fairmont Mayakoba. This resort is part of 2 other resorts (Rosewood & Banyan Tree) set within 240 acres of tropical forest & mangroves intersected by crystal clear waterways and surrounded by a pristine Caribbean shoreline. There were many things done extremely well, and whilst nothing was particularly 'bad', there could be some improvements to... More
