I love tripadvisor, and this is the perfect example of why I use it! I booked lots of hostels in one go for a trip to Mexico last year, and thus didn't have the chance to check the reviews for all the places my partner and I were about to stay. Fortunately, it was just one night here, because this... More

If its the first time you pick up a "mochilla" and mexico is your first stop then things may be a bit shocking. 1, its a hostel so if you're the queen of england you better stay elsewhere (rather than leave a bad review after staying "4" nights...hello!) 2, its cheap. Staff are great, location is great, always new people... More

Really good hostel just 3 minutes walk from the beach and the 5th avenue . We are surprise of the bad comments we read here, because we were in the annexe too and it's really clean and we feel secure all the time . The room was big and clean . We spend a perfect time with graffiti hostel .... More

This hostel is a little frugal and essential, but it comes cheap and has a very welcoming atmosphere, unlike majority of hostels in Playa which tend to be very strict and money-oriented. This is the ultimate laid-back experience for backpackers, friendly people who like to travel with a smile on their face and find a group of friends to call... More

Hotel Playa Graffiti is possibly the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. Despite the friendly staff and good location, this hostel has nothing to offer its guests. In my 4 nights there I had many problems with the lack of running water (which apparently is normal) and flushing toilets. The hostel was extremely dirty. All the bathrooms and dorms... More

We booked a rom for one night and get back a confirmation of a cute little room, with a balcony, private shower and nice decorations... I get there late and they are not ready with the room yet and ask me to wait. No problem, i go to have lunch. I come back and the guy in the reception takes... More

We were meant to stay in a private room but ended up staying in a dorm, there was mold on the wall next to my bed and it was just kind of damp and gross. Probably one of the worst hostels I've ever been to as it's so dirty and run down, but we still had fun and I don't... More

This hostel was by far and away the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. Apart from the central location, this hostel has absolutely nothing else to offer. The dorms were almost uninhabitable given that it was so dirty and the facilities did not work - we had no running water and the waste bins were never emptied during our... More

The room was spacious, however the bed was not comfortable and during our stay (5days) no cleaning facilities were available. Our room was not located in the main building, and the general feel of this extended block is a dirty feel, also the front door lock did not always lock properly. The only advantage of this hostel is it's location... More

Definitely "the worst" place I have stayed in Central America. When we arrived we were taken to a private room in another building a couple of blocks from the main hostel building. The minute we opened the door, before we even walked inside, a disgusting smell of dampness hit us! It was awful. Before the staff let us walk into... More
