After 7 years since my last visit to Playa del Carmen, our stay at the Luna Blue was consistently wonderful. We lucked out and got a Garden View Deluxe (with kitchen). This is by far my favorite room since it ample space, a gas stove, coffee maker, medium sized fridge and a kitchen sink. It truly feels like a jr.... More

Just returned from Playa Del Carmen and was not pleased with the horrible mildew smell in the Luna Blue rooms. Actually were in 2 rooms and both were mildewie. There was black mildew on the shower curtain, and n the blender. The water bottle dispenser and air conditioners need to be sanitized as well. We went to Walmart and unloaded... More

It’s always upsetting to us when a guest has an issue with his or her room. It is especially upsetting when we hear nothing about the issue until the guest has left and posted a review on the internet. There are very few problems that can’t be quickly resolved during a guest’s stay, as long as they are brought to... More

I have stayed at Luna Blue twice in 2014 and will definitely be back in the future. quiet, secluded and still in the centre of everything, it's like a little oasis in the middle of paradise. close to shops, the beach, restaurants and everything else that Playa del Carmen has to offer but when you step through the gates into... 18 Unit lush oasis close to all beaches, shops and restaurants. American owned award winning boutique hotel and it earns them. Don't go there if you want all the bells and whistles of a Ritz Carlton. Do go there if you want a great clean room at a great price in lovely lush garden setting with friendly American owners Cheri... More

What a wonderful 5 days spent at the Luna Blue Hotel, a little tropical oasis off the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue. From the very moment we walked through the gate, I realized this would be the perfect place to spend our week in Playa. From cooling off in the refreshing pool listening to the sound of the waterfall,... More

We spent 4 nights at this hotel during out stay on the Yucatan. We were advised by others to avoid Cancun and to go for Playa del Carmen. This place is right off 5th Avenue. You can't go wrong. You couldn't ask for a more friendly and charming place and staff. Rooms were great. If you have a rental car,... More

We enjoyed our stay at Luna Blue. Jaime, Jorge and Felipe were very nice and helped us find affordable local restaurants with good food. We love the swings at the bar and enjoyed the pool as well. The band that played Thursday was the best we heard while in PDC.

My friend and I booked a very last minute trip, and were so happy that we had found this charming hotel! The rooms were very clean, the pool was lovely and the small bar with swings was a great way to start our evening out every night! In the morning there was coffee and some very yummy fruit breads....I would... More

We were late arriving (after midnite) and they were available the whole time and even accomodated a small request since we were late. Even loaned us a knife to cut limes for beach beers. Very nice couple and even a visit from Frankie the resident cat made us feel at home. Keep up friendly feel
