We were greeted by our transport company USA Tours, [--]. Cancun has a new modern terminal, however parking is still at terminal 1&2, so once you arrive it is about a 10 min wait for your van. Our transport cost $105 to the Tides and our drivers to and from, Javier and Jose were great. We ended up leaving a... more

By far both my husband and I felt that this was the most amazing hotel that we have ever stayed at. The service is impeccable and it feels as if they have covered every detail possible. The palapas are beautiful, private and romantic. The staff ensure that every need is met and that your room is clean throughout the day.... more

This hotel was amazing! Service was great. The food was unbelievable, a bit expensive but in the end worth every bite. The room is great. They try to make everything so romantic every night they turn down your bed while you are at dinner. Its like your own little paradise. The only down sides were that it was a little... more

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and for the most part the hotel was beautiful, with wonderful service, great food and spectacular luxurious cabanas. However, a few small things niggled during our stay. The cabanas themselves were the best part of the stay - very cleverly designed, so it felt like you were the only ones in the middle of... more

As Newlyweds we truly enjoyed it. Our travel agent botched our schedule and the only ones to save the trip were the Tide’s staff. They were very accommodating and helped us with a new make shift schedule to see most of the nearby sites. Food, rooms, and surroundings were remarkable. more

My boyfriend and I just got back and we couldn’t have enjoyed our 5 nights/6 days at The Tides anymore than we did. We were greeted by Luis and provided early check-in and six days later granted late check-out and wished a good trip by the entire staff. Everything in-between added to the perfect resort and vacation. In response to... more

The hotel rooms were phenomenal and the service was extremely good! You can't beat the property. The only negative is the drive in is sketchy to say the least (you will think your cab driver is taking you to be mugged). Also, the drinks are ultra expensive at the pool. Place is unbelievable for a couples weekend more

I Went to the Tides in late Jan early Feb last year. I decided not to write a review immediately as give myself time to settle my thoughts on the hotel. A year has gone by now and the main thought that comes to mind of my experience at the hotel is the feeling of being constantly ripped-off. First the... more

I knew The Tides catered to honeymooners, but I should have thought a lot more about what that would mean. This hotel is really only suited to honeymooners who want to spend their days in absolute togetherness, and even then it's way overpriced if you have to pay the full fare. Very good food and excellent service were much appreciated,... more
