Went to Playa w/ boyfriend (soon to be husband!). He had never been out of the country. The entire hotel staff went out of their way to be efficient, cordial and gracious. My boyfriend loved it! The resort was lovely, well kept, and our room was clean, cool and well kept. The staff were obviously attentive to our every needs... more

We didn't have a room with A/C for 2 days. We had 3 different service come in the first night until 12AM and they said nothing was wrong. I even had a front desk staff tell me I didn't know how to work the thermostat(he didn't understand that when you turn it up, it will turn off at the temp... more

The wait and reception staff was outstanding. Some days they would come by our room in the evening to see if we needed fresh towels. Water bottles were delivered to our room around 9am. Drinks and cocktails were excellent and plentiful. Live music daily. The rooms were very nice and spacious. I'm a light sleeper, so I loved the way... more

I'll give it you straight , booking the restaurants is a pain, the food is fine, did the specialist restaurants the first week and the buffet the second week, absolutely no complaints. The beer was poison for me, should have been Sol or Corona instead they Double XX because it's cheap, the shorts are international brands at all the palaces,... more

Just returned from my stay at the palace. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted with "welcome home" as we stepped out of our shuttle. I have stayed at many RIU hotels in the last few years including the Riu Cancun, Riu Palace Las Americas, RIU Vallarta, RIU Ocho Rios, and RIU Montego Bay. Long tiring ride from the airport but what a joy to see the hotel once again. This was our 5th holiday at the Palace over 8 years. Young americans spitting lager at us, next room to us an American couple arguing day and night, throwing objects at the wall waking us. Reception short changing us when we changed money. more
