We have been to this resort several times, and we keep coming back because of the simplicity of the resort. You can get everywhere you want in a few minutes, the pool overlooks the beach (nice beach), quick 20 minute walk to Playa, no reservations are required for dinner, landscaping is lush and beautiful, employees are friendly, they set up... It was our second visit to this hotel, but we were very disappointed this second time around. There was a water leak in our room and the housekeeping staff never tried to fix it. When we went to the front desk to report it they gave us another room which took hours, they acted like they were doing us a... More

1. My husband and I booked a superior room. It was pooring rain when we arrived. The room they put us in was 913. It was close to the beach which was nice, so we thought. The shower and toilet screached, the AC leaked, our patio was a mess, the noise was REDICULOUS! That night when we tried to sleep,... More

I have stayed here 3 times now. Property is gorgeous, very tropical "lush" and the beach is perfect with that Turquoise water we all want to see. The staff is super friendly and they get to know you personally. Recommend

My husband and I went with a group of friends (about 25 ppl) and we had a good time. given the price and the all inclusive, you can't really expect much. breakfast was the best meal, while the food for lunch and dinner was not good. the good thing is that they have a snack bar that is open all... The food, the sea and the staff are absolutely great. Be careful if you are invited to a presentation : they can be very pushy and convincing, using false pretenses and making false promises,,, They do not know what beeing responsible means in our country : once they have your money, you can run....

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 days this summer. The people are friendly the resort is beautiful but the food is absolutely terrible. (Keep in mind that resort food is usually pretty plain because it must feed a large number of people from all different countries with varied tastes... but this was just bad) We paid a bit... More

My husband and I got a deal for the Reef on Groupon. We spent our first night of vacation in Cancun and wow was that spectacular. So on day two of vacation when we pulled up to the Reef in Playa Del Carmen, we were a little disappointed. They don't even have a sign in front of the hotel- just... More

We stayed at the Reef for a week with a group for scuba diving. The hotel was nice, but the beach was exceptional. More than that, the staff at the marina were great! For those of us who were not diving, there were paddle boards, kayaks and snorkeling. The restaurants were nice. The Italian was my favorite. The pools were... More

My boyfriend and I traveled to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico for 5 days with a group of our close friends, just returned yesterday. We stayed at the Reef and it was wonderful. We took a cab from the airport to the hotel which we just paid a round trip fee and the same cab picked us up yesterday. We were... More
