I stayed at this hostel for a month and absolutely loved it, the rooms were very spacious and they had somebody on for daily room cleanings; it's quite close from the city hub and the beds were pretty decent too! it's worth the price and its perfect for long stays since they have a very well equipped kitchen available for... First I will say I could of really liked this place and stayed here longer if it wasn't for a few things. First the good: They have hot showers and not just one bathroom like a lot of hostels do. You will probably never wait to use the bathroom here. They have separate men and women's facilities. They have hot... More

The room was pretty small and hot, the fans was not really enought. But its hade a good location and the WiFi works good in the outdoor space. Helpfull staff and the cleaning was ok. Ferry and buses in walking distance/just outside. Very nice towels too rent!

The hostel is conveniently located off the main street, but not too far, which is probably the best aspect. It is very loud, and not really because of the people, but the music. It would be nice if the music started a little later in the day... There is a computer available which is nice, and the staff is very... More

The staff was welcoming and very nice. The hostel had a really nice swimming pool, and the location was pretty good too. They had a snorkel and a mask to lend with only a deposit! They do not have rooms with private bathroom, however the shared bathroom is in acceptable cleaning conditions. My sheets were stained (or not well cleaned),... More

The hostel was in a great location, great outdoor space to hang out in (and big kitchen) but that also meant it was very loud in the evenings if you wanted to sleep. No curfew that I could tell so didn't really get any sleep. The big thing was that I got bedbugs all over my body- really nasty ones.... More

I came here back in November 2014. My boyfriend and I stayed for one night. There were drunk people shouting loudly all night. Someone unplugged our fan in the middle of the night to watch TV on their laptop. Did I mention the front desk stole my ID? Upon checkout no one return my ID, once I got to tulum... More

I stayed nearly a week with Vive La Vida in Dec 2014 and had the time of my life! The hostel was in a great location, super clean, and the staff were the best, really really helpful and friendly! Couldn't have had a better time - will be returning very soon!
