I arrived on March 28th and supposed to stay until April 6th. Well everything was going fine except starting the night of April 4th. Arrived to hotel from night time excursion at Xplorer and found that hotel is closed and all my stuff have been cinfiscated by the police because hotel is having "legal" problems with goverment. My stuff have... More

At first glance this was a little rough. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet, bathroom wall was crumbling near the faucet, electrical covers missing, the room was dimly lit, etc. Not a great first impression. However the bed was great, A/C worked great, location was perfect. There is a very nice inexpensive restaurant across the street where... More

I have stayed at hotels and hostels all over the world and this was by far the worst. I arrived at 1PM and asked if my room was ready. The man at the front desk said yes but would not let me in the room until 3pm. I asked why and he was rude and kept on repeating that check... More

We stayed at this hotel in dec 2013 and it was the worst hotel of our lives! The sheets were stainned, the floor was dirty, there was dirt everywhere, the bathroom was ugly and full os stains (see the photos below)! The room was humid, and had fungus everywhere! The staff doesnt know the city! We asked for suggestions for... More

We just returned from Playa Del Carmen for New Year's and stayed at the Playa Suites from Dec 26-Jan 2. 2013/2014. This was a clean and a very friendly staff (Alberto & female didn't get her name) but very nice... So were the other gentlemen. We stayed in room 4, very simple and basic, clean and great if you just... More

Although I believe the accommodations to be very average and the location to be less than ideal, the front desk people were helpful. I think they need to get safes in each room instead of logging in a journal of items at the front desk and they desperately need some updates, but it wasn't horrible. If you just need a... More

This place is affordable for those who really don't plan to stay all day at the hotel and just need a place to sleep. We really liked their friendly staff and their room service! This hotel is great for those of you who are more adventurous and are out and about all day long. Great to sleep, since it does... More

This hotel is located a block away from the hustle and bustle of 5th Ave, not only giving it a great location close to many shops and restaurants, but also far enough away for it to be quiet as well. It is also a short walk to the beach, and has an OXXO (convenience store) right downstairs. We were staying... More

Location: Great. Close to the beach and Quinta Avenida. Everything else: Disappointing. The room was clean, but dismal, depressing, and dingy, with broken furniture and wall decorations that seemed to be hiding some kind of scary construction issues. There were no extra pillows or blankets. No hand towels, and we had to share one bath towel (eww). This "suite" had... More

The walk to the square is full of busses, fumes and so many people getting on and off the buses that it is impossible to walk through it. Not a nice street to try to walk. I took a lot of taxix. Hotel is beautiful.
