We stayed at the Viva Maya for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are a nice size and very clean. The staff here is exceptional. My only complaint would be a lack of variety at the buffet and snack bars, but overall it was a wonderful, relaxing stay, which is exactly what we were looking for.

Food in the buffet was very limited and not the best. You are only allowed to go to the a la carte restaurants a couple times based on the lengh of your stay. No complaints about the resort, but PLEASE BE AWARE do not use the ATM machine in the hotel lobby, It gives you American dollars but tells you what the charges are in pesos and says on the receipt in pesos even though it gives you American dollars.
