Just back from a week at this hotel, fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, good value for money. Rooms are basic but clean, nice garden area. Breakfast served from the restaurant directly in front of the beach, an amazing start to the day.

I stayed here for one night in the sea front apartment (130 USD). The room was massive with a nice powerful shower and large king size bed with ocean views. Considering what you would pay most places for the location and view it is excellent value. The breakfast the next day was pretty good as well. I left my iPod... More

My wife and me took a day trip into Playa Del Carmen with thoughts of eating with a sea view. As with most we firstly walked along Avenue 5, then turned down Calle 8, dropping onto the beach to be met by waiter service at the Pelicano Inn. Reassured that they did good Mexican food, we grabbed a spot in... More

This is a small inn right on the water and close to the avenida. The staff is helpful. Restaurant and cabana service is great. They will book tours. We went on whale shark with Adventuro Mexico. It was relatively quiet. Great balcony for afternoon drinks

The staff from the get go was very nice, they even allowed us to check in early (probably because they pitied me and all the sweat dripping down my face). About a 10 minute walk to the ferry and even closer to the ADO bus station. Close to all things touristy. However, what really bothered me were the mosquitos. I... More

We have stayed at Pelicano Inn several times and just love the location right at the beautiful beach. The hotel is nice and clean and the staff at the beach restaurant very friendly, especially Roberto! Love to be back one day!

this hotel has the best location, its right on the beach and 1 min walk to the middle of the main street. the beds were not very comfortable, and we did not have an air conditioning remote, so we had to have it on very cold the whole time. This was very annoying as we were freezing at night as... More

It's a good lil hotel. Clean rooms, good AC, great location 1 min walk to Main Street, on beach. No TV in the garden rooms which I'm not sure they specify but I may have missed it when booking. Prices - meh. Playa del carmen is expensive anyway - talking about them charging prices you pay back home. Prob would... More

Staff was pleasant and helpful and the location was great. The beach is steps away and the restaurant bar serves tasty cold drinks. The grounds were well manicured. But the rooms are horrendous at best. The beds are essentially a piece of foam that should have been burned a decade ago. The bathroom is where souls go to die. The... More

If you are looking for a basic motel like place to just sleep this is good. Great location, very friendly customer service. Rooms are less than average. It needs a refresh! I used my flip flops to even get a shower! The location was perfect, close to everything without the noise! Internet wifi is available but never works! So do... More
