We stayed at Treetops for 4 nights after walking in with no reservation. We took the kitchenette suite. It was clean with a comfortable bed and plenty of room for the two of us. The room had A/C (a must in July!) and a TV. We enjoyed our stay as we were close to the beach and the main drag.... more

The good things about Tree Tops: (1) Location. (2) Friendly, hassle-free front desk. (3) Price & availability. (4) Generally clean & pleasant. Not quite as good: (1) Construction was right next door to us during our stay, and I suspect it will be going on for months. (I was not told of this when I booked it.) This was noisy,... more

My husband and I stayed at Treetops for 5 nights, early in February, and we were very pleased. It was our first time in PDC. Yes, our room was "no frills", but it was clean and we had a great shower. We also had a mini fridge and coffee maker. On our first morning there, we had breakfast at a... more

Four couples stayed in Treetops in late February 2007. We were all interested in a clean, comfortable place to stay rather than a plush hotel room and got exactly what we were expecting. At $105 per night, we all thought this was an excellent buy and would come back again. Our philosophy is that all we do in the rooms... more

Having read the (mostly) positive reviews on TripAdvisor prior to booking, we were looking forward to our one night stay at Treetops in March 2007. It was our first visit to PDC and we wanted a unique lodging in a good location. We paid a hefty $94 USD/night, but figured the funky atmosphere would be worth the price. I wish... more

Our family (with 6 and 9 year old children) stayed in one of the kitchenette suites for 5 nights. Location was great: beach a half block away and 5th Avenue a half block the other way. The pool was too small to be useful. Rooms were clean, no bugs, but a bit worn. Bed was softer than Mexican standard -... more

Treetops is a lovely hotel just off the main drag, a half block from the ocean and just up the street the other way is a marvelous Mayan restaurant. Our room, set back in the jungle garden by the cenote, was large and very comfortable. In the evening, the open window and ceiling fan made sleeping most pleasant. We had... more

I stayed at Treetops in March 2006 with my friend. Our room was simple-no tv, no phone, no clock. But the room was clean and well-kept. Ants crept under the door from outside, but that is to be expected in a warm climate like Playa. We paid $94.00/night, and that price is reasonable. The staff is polite. The courtyard of... more

After emailing back and forth several times about the exact date of our arrival, I thought they finally had it right; of course we show up and there are no reservations for us at all. They had a room that night so we stayed, and they offered to accomodate us by moving us every few days to a different room,... more

This was a great last minute find for us. We stayed in the newer section (since last April). The location is perfect....half block to beach and half block to Avenida 5. The owners and staff are wonderful and very accommodating. The room was clean and maid service excellent. The kitchen was small but very well equipped and fridge bigger than... more
