The hotel was amazing, the location is not on the beach but only a 5 minute walk and get tickets for seats in the sea. Hotel staff professional and courteous and helped us a lot in the operation of transportation and recreation area. Although the hotel is located very close to the center of Playa clubs but very quiet.

This was my second time in Playa staying at La Tortuga and honestly I will stay there every single time I visit. The property is well maintained and the staff does everything in their power to make your stay wonderful. Names that I remember were Cesar (front desk) and Manual (Bartender) but just because the other names escape me right... More

Stayed at this Boutique Hotel for almost 5 days in August 2014. Beautiful small hotel, truly an oasis. Located only a block away from 5th avenue, this little paradise was the perfect place to be situated. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly with their recommendations. Raphael, the concierge, Pedro, Cesar, Ruben and Maricella(reservations) were standouts. They were all very... More

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Fabulous place for the price, incredible location, quiet and cozy. Felt like I was at a mini high end resort! Only thing, there was a misunderstanding about a mini bottle of wine. Bellboy told us it was complimentary with the room we took. When we checked out after 2 nights, front desk charged us. Said... This is probably our 6 or 7th visit to La Tortuga over the years & it still is one of our favorite hotels. The staff is always friendly, helpful & accommodating. Rooms are very attractive & comfortable. Pool area is very unique. You would not image that there is such a beautiful oasis just past the lobby. One time we... More

We were only staying one night to be closer to Cancun airport from Cozumel. The place is wonderful! We had Room 304 which I believe is a junior suite. There was an entire private lounge on the roof with a jacuzzi for the room. The beds were very comfortable, excellent wifi, large very clean bathrooms (with a beautiful sink area).... More

My friend and I booked our accommodation at the last minute during Spring Break, but were pleasantly surprised. Chatting with Cesar at Reception became a part of our day, either as we collected our breakfast vouchers or when we returned from our days out. He was very happy to provide advice and was then keen to find out how our... More

A very arrogant manager/owner when you try to talk about very annoying noise in the hotel and hotel area due to maintenance. We were never informed about any of the maintenance, nor offered any compensation for the trouble. We were also told that the work was finishing in three days from the first time we told hotelmanagement about the problem.... More

Dear Marita and Silje, I may as well answer you both at the same time as you are in the hotel on holiday together right now. It comes with great sadness to read that you actually wrote these reviews has you have been threatening to do for some days now. Upon arrival to the hotel you were advised of the... More

We checked into La Tortuga with relieved hearts after a heart stopping visit to its sister hotel 'Inn Fashion hotel' just around the corner. Unlike its noisy modern art deco counterpart, this hotel had what we needed. Noise free, (until construction at 9am) clean and comfy. With a architectural cultural mexican feel, leafy internal grounds, pool, jacuzzi, pool table and... More

I've been here twice, but stayed only once (i was visiting Playa from another town the 2nd time). The staff is helpful. You get passes to a few different beach clubs (free chairs), and it's near all cafes and shops. You get free Mexican breakfast at the restaurant in house. The pool is small but the grounds are lovely. Small... More
