Maroma Resort is heaven! My husband and I booked Maroma for our destination wedding and from the moment we stepped foot on their grounds it was pure perfection. The Maroma, owned by Orient Express, is private and quietly sophisticated. The chefs will personalize your food just for you. The bed-sized chaises on the white sandy clean beach are reminiscent of ancient Egypt. Many famous people come to this resort because they can retain their privacy here. This is a beautiful hotel. However, it is priced as a five star and it isn't. First, the good -- the staff is friendly and helpful. The food is very good. Maroma has a great beach. The property has a true jungle feel to it as well. I think overall it is a good hotel. The rooms are very outdated however. They are actually depressing. You can tell they have spent no money on keeping these rooms up to pace with the compitition. The food is good but certainly is not... more
