Las Palapas is a great option tot go to playa del carmen. Its not too expressive, you have 2 meals included and the private beach allows you to disconnect from the world. It is still located in the town close to all the restaurants but tucked away from the busyness of the streets. The lodging is great and the staff... More

After much research we booked this hotel for a 7 night stay in hopes of simply put - paradise. Travelling all the way from Australia we very excited upon arrival at Cancun airport even though exhausted from the very long flight. We had organised Cancun Valet to transfer us to Las Palapas hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel we were... More

First, the pros of which there are many: The staff is exemplary. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was efficient, friendly, caring, and helpful. The beach is unsurpassed. In my opinion, it's as fine as any beach anywhere on earth. Soft sand, clear, warm water, gentle waves, plenty of shade and loungers. The rooms are a little tired, but... More

Nice hotel, we were upgraded to ocean front when we checked in. The noise others spoke of from the beach club didn't bother us. Only downside to be being oceanfront is your lack of outdoor privacy. I highly reccomend payaing for a fridge in your room. You can walk a few blocks out of the tourist zone and stock up... More

Dear Guest, I am glad to see that you could enjoy your stay by having our best room, right in front of the ocean. Beautiful property. They spoil you in every way. A true escape. Beautiful private beach, wonderful food. Spring for the cabana closest to the beach. :) Just a note - this IS a semi-nude beach, so just be aware if you are bringing kiddos! My advice? Leave them with grandma and grandpa...you will both have a better time!

Dear Guest, thank you for your review. We are glad to see that you had a pleasant stay with us. As the resort is located in the heart of Playa del Carmen and all the beaches of the city are public, we are not able to control the way people present themselves on the beach. I would like to highlight... More

This is an amazing resort, a complete escape from the real world. Whether you're feasting on their phenomenal breakfast buffet, or lounging on their beach - perhaps with a drink - this is a wonderful, romantic place to go. Highly recommended.

We just spent 7 days at Las Palapas in an Ocean View Room which is really a separate cabana. Our friends stayed in the garden view rooms which were up/down duplex buildings. Each room has its own porch with comfy chairs and hammocks. Ours was steps from the large beach that had reclining chaise lounges under thatched shades, and bar/lunch... More

We just spend 5 days at Las Palapas, it was our first time and was exactly what we where looking for. A small hotel on the beach, walking distance to restaurants and shops, and perfect to relax. They have no TV, Wifi, or phone in the room, which is ok for us. You can get wifi in the lobby and... More

A beautiful hotel in Mexico, over-looking the Caribbean, white sands and crystal clear waters. This was our 4th trip. The breakfast is not as good as it used to be as there was not as much variety. It was still great but it used to be excellent, with different food every day. Now the food is the same every day... More
