We stayed at this hotel for 1 week. One big disaster. The shower is worthless. I pee harder than that shower! No wifi in hotelroom. Only signal in reception area. The swimming pool has no circulation or whatsoever and contains a lot of dirt (cotton swabs, empty cups etc.) The building is outdated. The paint is coming off the doors... More

This hotel was in a great location - close to Shopping 5th and 10th street. Plus very close to an ADO station as well as a Collectivo Station. You cant complain about the location at all. I found the hotel courtyard to be the BEST thing about this hotel. IT was large and has a Great pool in the centre.... More

This was at one time a beautiful property, but they have let it deteriorate to a terrible state. The rooms had nothing that worked. The remote for air and TV didn't work, so we had to manually had to control them. The ceiling fan didn't work at all. The hotel allows daily guests for a fee to use the pool... More

Pool and bar area looks wonderful however the rooms are a disappointment. My air-con was very noisy, not all the light bulbs worked woodwork was showing signs of wear and tear and outside on the balcony area can be noisy. If you can afford a little bit more I would book something closer to the beach and with better rooms.

Apparently GAdventures uses this hotel frequently; I was touring with them so that's how I came to be here unfortunately. The place looks beautiful from the public spaces; the rooms are entirely different. I'm not even sure our room had been made up. There were no towels of any kind. The room was worn and dingy (understatement), hot and smelly.... More

Carmen Inn is about 3 blocks from the beach in Playa del Carmen but the noise was not too bad in the back rooms. It has a few free parking places in front. It has a pool and pool bar. Lots of shops nearby. Old and dingy with lots of big holes in the walls and plugs falling out of... More

Room is huge! Spacious! Service is average. The pool is fun and the bar staff is great too. Not bad little place. The air con can be tricky to work with and breakfast there isn't all that great. Oxo is across the road and there are other little cafes with better priced foods.

the pool area is nice as is the bar, and it has a happy hour with cheap drinks! close to 5th avenue and walmart as well as banks etc so well located. Close enough to the beach (15 min walk). The rooms are average, could do with a touch up here and there such as the rusty fan which a... More

This hotel have 2 pluses, it is well located and it has a happy hour by the pool every day (it seems as I was only there for 2 days). Even though the rooms were always clean they just seemed a little tacky. The bathroom was below par as was the breakfast. The pool is not swim friendly as they... More

Me and my girlfriend wisited playa del carmen in march 2011. Yes the hotel is a bit shabby, and it`s not the cleanest place we have been. The breakfast is eatable, and while you enjoy it, watch some Mexican traffic culture. For us this hotel was perfect. It gave a good nights sleep, and we where very happy with the... More
