My partner and I just returned from a week long trip to Playa Del Carmen. We rented a 2 BR 2 Bath unit on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool and with a view of the ocean. The condo was very clean and the furnishings were overall comfortable with the exception of the beds that are like a dormitory mattress.... More

We chose a condo instead of the ubiquitous all-inclusive because we wanted to try as many of the excellent restaurants nearby as possible without feeling we had wasted the prepaid meals at the all-inclusive. The Elements was lovely. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious and well appointed. A gorgeous balcony faced the beautiful pool and the sea across a little lane.... More

I stayed here with friends we had to 2 bedroom rooms each. Both designed differently and very spacious with all the amenities of home. Pool is nice and private secured beach area right there. Also a lively bar next door. Overall I recommend it if a secluded resort is not your thing. We could walk to the 5th st area... More

We stayed here last year in May and our room was fantastic. Not so this time. We had 108 which is right beside the lobby and a downgrade from 115 from last year. No coffee maker, no internet, noisy balcony with the lobby right beside your balcony, no corkscrew... In other words not top of the line which we expected.... More

This is the WORST Vacation spot for families with kids EVER! Unless your kids like to read silently under an umbrella all day, STAY AWAY!! After being told that the Elements was "perfect for families", we spent the worst three days of vacation there with our family in 14 years. On our nine prior trips to Mexico, we have always... More

Hello OJFamily, We are sorry to hear that your family did not enjoy your stay that was apparently booked through another party as we have no record of you booking through our website or management company. We hope you are able to return to Mexico again as it really is an excellent family vacation spot. More

We stayed with another couple at The Elements from 2-29-14 to 4-5-14 and had a wonderful time. The people at the desk knew who we were on arrival and the check in was a breeze. Our unit was on the end with a beautiful balcony where we enjoyed coffee in the morning and drinks before and after dinner. We did... More

Have been staying at the Elements 4 out of the last 6 years. While the complex looks good externally, much improvement could be made in quality of amenities. The unit we stayed in had no dresser or table in the master bedroom; one towel rack and one hook in the master bath with very little counterspace. There was a 4-cup... More

The Elements is a condo complex that rents on a weekly or monthly basis. It is an exceptional property and we think one of the best in the area. It has a wonderful huge and long pool in the centre as well as a children section and the far end. Wonderful loungers in the pool and umbrellas and loungers surrounding... More

We have stayed in #211 this week... Fantastic view, pristine grounds, and fabulous staff- especially Martin ("Marteen") who greeted us and helped us coming and going throughout our visit. Martin made us feel so welcome and he was always so kind and accommodating. The whole concierge staff was delightful. The private beach area and pool have the most comfortable chairs. This... More
