Recently, I read a review of the Elements in Playa del Carmen that talked about the electricity and power being shut off. I just spent a week in PH2 and it was so beautiful down there, and the complex is kept meticulously maintained. The pool man spends 3 hours every day cleaning the pool and the grounds are constantly groomed. Now the private beach club has been made...all the little huts that were there originally are now gone and the sand was sifted with a large sieve so that it is powdery and soft and clean. They are soon going to have comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas, and maybe some things like kayaks for use by owners as well as guests..paid for by the owners in their monthly condo dues. There is an upscale seafood restaurant close by right on the beach that will be catering food and drinks to the beach club.
