Location just far enough away from touristy right in the heart of expats and locals alike. Great restaurants close by. Easy to get to the Mega if needed. Free breakfast was really nice on rooftop terrace. Pool was nice to cool off after short walk from beach. Close to public strand of beach that was visually stunning and alive with... More

Very helpful and friendly staff!! The location is great, walking distance to all the bars, restaurants and beach. Yet, you don't hear any of the music at night, which is why I say, perfect location. Breakfast is really nice, small pool area, but perfect for a plunge after a day of site seeing or a quiet night in! Rooms are... More

This hotel has all the best features of a small hotel. Service feels very personal and friendly. Staff is obviously quite proud of their place. All areas were clean and well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with some nice variety for every day. Receptionists had always time for some good advise for us. WiFi, airconditioning and all such things worked perfectly... More

We stayed at the beginning of June and found Hotel Casa Ticul great! Previous reviews mention construction noise but we didn't hear a peep of that in the six nights we were there. Also, it's towards the other end of 5th but it's so much better avoiding all of the annoying touristy stuff and it honestly isn't much of a... More

My wife and I stayed here at the end of June 2014, there was constant building noise throughout the hotel all day long, sometimes to 7 or 8 p.m. I have put a personal video on Youtube showing the state of the hotel that I recorded with my Sony. The management here are taking a big gamble and living off... More

We had a wonderful stay in Casa Ticul in June 2014! The hotel is a small boutique style with excellent, friendly staff, a lovely swimming pool, a great beach club and comfortable rooms. We stayed in the junior suite which had an amazing 4 poster bed, a nice bathroom with a good shower, a modern TV and DVD player with... More

We have been back for 2 weeks, and we already can't wait to go back! Our last few Mexico and Caribbean vacations have been at all-inclusives, and the service here is unparalleled. Because it is such a small hotel, you get to know all of the staff, and they remember you and follow up with any requests promptly. Paola (the... More

Stayed for 2 nites.Told before leaving that price paid was quoted incorrectly (by same staff on check in) and we needed to pay difference for both nites! Rate quoted was 75 usd and was prepaid on site but increased on check out to 80 usd per nite! Unbelievable! Also wi fi only works in lobby not rooms. Noisy mornings with... More

Positives: Very close to nice beaches. They have agreements with good beach clubs allowing to enter and get sunbed/umbrella. Very nice staff. Allowed us to check-out 2 nights earlier than booked. Gave good recommendations to restaurants around, and free drink coupons for those. Negatives: We got room with noise around. Most of the other rooms seem more quiet. Uncomfortable bed.... More
