I only write positive reviews for things that are so wonderful that I want others to get to experience them. Casa julamis was exactly that, phenomenal. Casa julamis seems like it was build to share a love of merida with a lucky few. after a long successful career in the hotel industry Alex chose to build a small B&B in... More

Hi there, I went here to recover a little after a 48 hours flight out of Indonesia. It was a great room, very clean, great toiletries and a great bed. Breakfast was better on the first day, but chef alex always makes a nice fresh burrito/quiche which is tasty. Location is a little out of the centro, but it only... More

After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we were really happy to get a room at Hotel Julamis, and the proprietor, Alex, did not let us down. The room was large, and absolutely gorgeous, with a large, clean bathroom. After hot and busy days spent sightseeing, we always came back to a room that was clean and comfortable - a pleasure... I worked in Mexico for five months last year and I went for two weeks holiday with my boyfriend in Yucatan. It was June 2013 and we had the best two nights stay in this boutique hotel. The managers were so welcoming and friendly, they gave us a lot of useful tips as well as the most comfortable stay. The... More

This is a place where you can actually feel like home, the suite is very comfortable, quite big and everything is working perfectly. The breakfast is delicious, always something different to try. For being friendly and always giving advice and answering every single question about merida I must say... Thank you, Alex!

The owner Alex absolutely makes this place what it is....wonderful!! He is a marvelous, friendly, helpful host. The hotel itself in nice and getting even better as Alex is continually adding nice new guest friendly features and doing decorating upgrading all the time. We had a wonderful stay at this B&B. The whole experience was fabulous.. from our beautifully appointed bedroom to the gourmet breakfasts every morning cooked by the one and only, Alex (owner and chef extraordinaire!). The central courtyard where we had our meals was whimsical and we felt like we were in some secret garden far away from the city,... More

What a charming and quaint hotel! The hotel is conveniently located minutes away from the Historic District. At the same time, Hotel Julamis is such a pleasant contrast to the city's sounds and sights. One immediately feels a sense of tranquility and calmness as you enter the hotel. But perhaps it's the detailed touches that make this place such a... More

We arrived on Mon, 28 April and departed Fri, 2 May 2014 and stayed for 4 nights. We arrived in Cancun and didn’t make the departure time from the airport directly to the bus station at Fiesta Americana (Merida). We had to take a transfer bus to downtown Cancun bus station. We choose the ADO Platinum bus from downtown to... More

This hotel is fantastic - the rooms are lovely and the building itself is beautiful - particularly the courtyard where breakfast is served and the roof terrace. Breakfast was delicious and made fresh by Alex each day. Alex is a fantastic host - welcoming, helpful with directions and great at giving advice. We liked Alex's honesty and preferred this to...
