This was the fourth "colonial" town house hotel we stayed in while in Mexico, and was the best by a considerable margin. Part of the reason was the building design, and the way in which a first class pool was put into the courtyard (the room we had is the ground floor one shown in the main Trip Advisor photo),... This is the first trip advisor review I have ever written because my stay here was so amazing and the hotel staff saved us several times on our trip. First off, this place is in a fantastic location in the heart of historic Merida and is just serene and gorgeous. High ceilings, beautiful Spanish tile to an extra high ceiling... More

We stayed at the Hotel Hacienda Merida for three days recently. I'd thoroughly recommend staying there. It's a boutique place with just eight rooms, all arranged around a lovely swimming pool area which has a few loungers and Balinese beds and gets the sun until late afternoon. Positives: - Location - just two blocks from Parque Saint Lucia (where there... More

We loved this hotel. It is pretty non-descript from the outside, but once inside, it is lovely -- elegant rooms, a lovely garden, and terrifically helpful staff. Ken was our main concierge/helper, but everyone was terrific and willing to engage us in our practicing our Spanish or perfectly fluent in English. The breakfast was out of this world!

We stayed here for 3 nights during February 2015 as part of our 2 week Mexico tour . We had booked an "executive" room and requested a high floor through our UK agent many months in advance. When we arrived we were told that we had been upgraded to the VIP hotel which was separate to the main hotel and... More

We stayed there with family and friends for a weeding, and I must say we really enjoyed this hotel… When you pass by in the street, you cannot expect what is inside..But if you open the door of the Hacienda Merida, you will discover a lovely, charming, and really beautiful little hacienda / boutique hotel… The decoration is wonderful !... This is a beautiful little hotel close to the centre of Merida in an old colonial building. The staff are friendly and efficient, our room was attractive and spacious with the swimming pool just beyond our sitting-out area (though too cold in February.). The road outside can be busy but the rooms are far enough back that there is absolutely... More

An oasis in the hustle and bustle of Merida. The pool area is lovely, the continental breakfast was beyond my expectations. Coffee was great. Our room faced the back and was a bit small with a TV left over from the 70's. The bathroom was a step up and the bed was, to say the least, FIRM. Staff was very... More

I went to Merida for the wedding of one of my best childhood friends and stayed at this most fantastic hotel! The staff was very warm and accommodating and the rooms were absolutely perfect! The hotel also had great recommendations for touristic activities and restaurants (you have to go to mama's kitchen right next to the hotel for some authentic... More
