We chose Casa Santiago because of their website advertising. I normally abhor B&B's because of the forced intimacy but Casa Santiago did not appear to be not your average B&B, which we were delighted to find out was true. We booked directly on Casa's websight for seven nights from April 1st to the 8th, 2008. I was impressed that Vincente... more

We just returned from Merida, Mexico on the Yucatan Peninsula and what a great trip. We were trying to escape the cold and snow of New England. After doing some research on the internet and checking Trip Advisor, we chose Merida for its location, near the Mayan ruins, near the coast and not Cancun during spring break. We like to... more

I really enjoyed my stay. I usually do not stay in B & B's when I travel, beacuse I don't like feeling like an intruder in someone's home. But at Casa Santiago, you don't have to worry about that since the owners live next door. So here I got the best of both world. Vince and Frank were wonderful to... more

My husband and I stayed at Casa Santiago for 6 wonderful nights. Our host, Vincent, made us feel welcome. He offered a lot of great advice and even joined us on one of our side trips. Vincent has such a great personality and genuinely nice person. He made us all feel special. The place is just as the others described;... more

We left our home in NYC to spend Christmas and New Years in Merida and found a new home. Our hosts Vincente and Frank could not have been more helpful, welcoming and good humored. We instantly felt at home at Casa Santiago. The pool and garden is a true oasis. The location is ideal; close enough to the main square... more

We stayed at Casa Santiago this last Christmas and had a wonderful time. It is beautiful, clean, and well-equipped. We felt safe and looked after, and Vince gave us lots of information of places to go and things to do in Merida and even invited us to go on a tour of a Hacienda with him, another family staying at... more

Our goal was to get away from Kansas City weather for two weeks and visit a city with the fewest tourists, and where we could experience a true corner of Mexico. Casa Santiago was the perfect place to stay. Vince treated us like family, was a huge help in advising us, booking our trips, and knowing where to find the... more

Casa Santiago is a great cozy bed & breakfast, we were impressed at the service and detail even before we arrived, Vince emailed us bus schedules, tours, and websites to help us plan the trip. When we arrived and learned that we were the only guests staying there (low season, middle of the week) he offered us our choice of... more

Harbinger of a thoroughly enjoyable Mexican experience - Joe, from Casa Santiago, responded to my email enquiries with patience and helpful information. Joe and Gil were kind enough to meet two rather tired travelers at the bus station when they arrived at night after a long day of travel (plane from Canada and then bus from Cancun). Our Mexican sojourn... more

Our hosts were extremely helpful and gracious. They assisted with our luggage, kept the kitchen stocked with fruit, tea & coffee, bottled water and snacks, located city information for us and gave us lots of space to just relax and enjoy the property. The maintenance was excellent with the linens being changed frequently and fresh flowers in the lounge area.... more
