Casa Lucia is delightful. We booked a deluxe room and enjoyed a spacious, immaculate, accomodation just off the little garden and pool area. Although right off the busy street, the court yard was quiet. Floors throughout are all stone and we wondered if it would be noisy from above or the sides but never heard a thing. The continental breakfast... more

Having read all the positive reviews of Casa Lucia, I booked a week at Christmas. The hotel confirmed our choice of poolside room. When we arrived we were taken to the old wing, into a room that stank of mold and overlooked the noisy street. The air conditioner blew icy cold and made a great deal of noise, but because... more

This was one of the most adoring place we have ever stayed. We decided to go to Merida from Cancun without any planning or knowledge of the town so when we arrived to Merida we had no idea where we were going to spend the night. Luckily we were able to find an internet cafe and found this cute place... more

Had a very enjoyable stay at this superb hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you walk into the courtyard with its swimming pool, loungers, hammocks and fountains, you know you've made the right choice. Our room was spacious, well-equipped and interestingly decorated. The hotel is located in the very centre of Merida and provides (very... more

We absolutely loved this hotel. The architecture of the place is lovely - it reminded me very much of the grand homes in Charleston, South Carolina. The guest rooms are very large and absolutely gorgeous. We wanted to feel like we had experienced Mexico, so we steered clear of resorts. This was EXACTLY what I was hoping for. The staff... more

Casa Lucia is a gem in Merida The suite was immaculately clean and well appointed. The hotel and restaurant staff was knowledgeable, friendly! and always at our disposal. Isaac the hotel manager was outstandingly courteous taking care to all our needs. The on-site Restaurant offered delicious and inexpensive international cuisine. The Cesar salad, fresh home made pizza, Chocinita pibil, Shrimp... more

We stayed 2 nights in March 2008. We loved this hotel, the ambiance at night by the pool with all the lights, the service, everything made it for a perfect stay. One suggestion: ask to stay in the newer part of the hotel. We were first taken to room #1, it was old and we didn't like it. We ask... more

This is my absolute favorite in Merida! Due to living in Cancun I like to take week end getways in Merida and I mus't say out of all of the hotels I have tried in beautiful Merida this is the best I have been in so far! The hotel is located a few blocks from the city's main plaza and... more

I booked this hotel expecting the best hotel of Merida, and it probably was. The valet was extra kind, same with the frontdesk and the made. They were probably the kindest people we met in Merida =). We just had one morning breakfast there and we went out for mostly all the meals, there is plenty of amazing restaurant around... more

I cannot imagine anyone complaining regarding the ambiance or any other factor regarding this beautiful small hotel...located within the Historic District of Merida. It is not, by any means, the most expensive hotel in the city! However, the spacious rooms are artfully done with large marble bathrooms and armoires. For anyone to complain regarding a bug in the pool or... more
