We stayed at this B&B for four nights in January 2012. I cannot recommend it enough. The hostess is extremely helpful. We would never have seen as much as we did without her advice. She personally arranged the tours we were interested in. The breakfasts were fabulous, way above and beyond the typical b&b fare. Our room was very private... More

My wife and I stayed at Cascadas de Merida for a week in Jan. as a celebration of our fortieth wedding anniversary. We have always wanted to visit Merida and staying at Ellyne and Chucho's made our visit even better than we anticipated. There are four casitas around a small garden courtyard and a pool. The pool was very refreshing... More

Nice B&B, very nice hosts. If you like swimming, this place has a much bigger pool than most houses in Merida, and you can swim laps in it. It's not Olympic size or anything, but it's very nice. More

We spent four nights over Christmas at Cascadas de Merida and couldn't have been happier in our choice. The owner, Ellyne, was very helpful and informative even before we arrived. We were warmly welcomed and even invited to partake of her own Christmas Eve celebration. The property has a unique quality, partly created by the wall of old photos hung... More

A great spot in a lovely town. My wife and I stayed here in December '11 and had an excellent time. We were drawn to the place by the positive reviews and our expectations were exceeded. Ellyne and Chuco are running an outstanding place that is comfortable, warm, clean, convenient and friendly. We've traveled quite a bit around Latin America... More

I arrived in Merida on Jan 2nd 2012 and spent 6 nights at the Cascadas de Merida. I came intending to explore the City of Merida and the Cascadas location was the perfect place for it. I was able to walk to everything I wanted to see. The whole experience was great and overall it was the best quality/$$$ B&B... More

This B and B is outstanding! Not only are the rooms delightful, comfortable and beautifully decorated but the entire experience is fabulous. Without doubt, one of the best showers ever and the sound of the waterfalls is soothing and relaxing. The breakfasts each morning are delicious and plentiful. But what's even more delightful is the communal breakfast table where you... More

This was the most memorable and notable place I've stayed at in North or South America. Designed by Chucho, the owner, from his own family's house, this beautiful, restful inn has to be seen to be appreciated. From the cascading rock waterfall outside your own shower, to the inner courtyard with original artwork, and the pool in the centre of... More

Spent a week at this singular B&B as we toured Mayan Yucatan. It was a lovely stay in an extremely attractive, spotlessly clean, and comfortable setting. The rooms and bathrooms were first rate. The pool was an added delight. Breakfast is among the best we have had anywhere--fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc., followed by the eggs of the morning, all... More

Cascadas de Merida is one of the best B&B's I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. The four rooms are each positioned at a corner of the pool. On the surrounding wall, waterfalls flow down rock panels. The rock panels also surround the all glass showers inside the rooms. So when you are showering, you have a view... More
