We found this to be a quiet relaxing hotel with a colonial feel situated in a great location in Merida. All the basics are well taken care of i.e. cleanliness, wi-fi, shower etc, although don't expect too many frills. For the price we paid, it was exceptional value in our view.

My only request would be that next time the two of you visit you bring me some of that exceptional fudge you are responsible for in Atlantic City. Merida, founded in the early 1500s, is still very much old Mexico and also a new Mexico. Despite all the franchised named businesses that have made their way to Merida, there is still a huge part of this big city that holds to tradition and simplicity. I had the pleasure of spending three weeks at the Hotel Santa Ana in... More

Hotel Santa Ana is one of those boutique hotels that you I wish you had found on your first visit to Merida. The hotel is central to just about everywhere, museums, Santa Ana Park, Hennessey’s Irish pub and Centro. An easy stroll to the city center is only 10 minutes, take a walk to the restaurants and night life and... More

This place ticked all our boxes...the biggest box being the charming staff that were super helpful, friendly.....and good fun! Good clean rooms, fresh sheets daily, lovely decor, well kept gardens and pool. Great value for city hotel. We have already recommended this place to 3 people and we only left this morning!

By far, the best thing about the hotel would be the aforementioned employees in the title of my review. My best friend and I spent 18 days in the Yucatan Peninsula in January of this year. We spent a week here, and then we went to Campeche for 4 days. My best friend wanted to stay here again after we... More

Johnny, It has taken some time to read and understand your drama filled comments and I am honored to respond. Perhaps you do not understand the Hotel Industry very well and that is fine. I will take a moment to explain to you. The job of the GM for the most part is back office insuring that the folks you... More

We spent 4 nights here and it was our favorite from our Mexican trip. We took a taxi (200 pesos) from Merida Airport. Our room (#2 on ground floor) was very quiet and comfortable. We had the 70 peso breakfast every morning (eggs, fruit, juice, toast, coffee) and enjoyed it. It was quiet and relaxing. But by far the best... More

My partner and I spent a week in Merida at the Santa Ana, and found it very enjoyable. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. My only criticism isn't really related to the hotel, but instead to the tour operator who works with them. If you want to take a trip (and you should), ask the person at the desk... More

It was certainly a pleasure to have you stay with us. I will pass along your suggestion to the reception staff regarding entrance fees for the different tour sites. Some have them and some do not but what is included in the tour should be made very clear. Otherwise, I hope that you can return to Merida soon and stay... More

Just returned from a few days in Merida, Mexico and found a well-priced hotel, with wonderful service. Quiet, beautiful atmosphere of an older hacienda, with a coutyard, small pool, beautiful vegetation in the middle of the capital city of Yucatan, Merida! Easy walks to various squares, museums, and an array of activities. Near many great restaurants, as well. I highly... More
