Pros: Having a pool in a hostel is rare and especially at the price you pay. They have fantastic free lessons such as Mexican cooking lessons, yoga and salsa classes. I did the salsa class and the teacher was really fun and lively and took away any awkwardness of dancing with strangers. There are lockers in the room which are... More

Great hostel especially for solo travelers! Large and multiple social areas with hammocks and a lovely pool. It's easy to meet people but also to relax without being disturbed. It's not a party hostel but instead a social-hostel. The free salsa, yoga and cooking lessons are great and of really high quality! I thoroughly enjoyed the yoga sessions in the... More

Nomads is a good place to stay if you are in Merida, very close to the center. Great activities, salsa dancing, cooking lesson, yoga in the morning. Female dorm is good, nice and big with own bathroom. Nice outdoor area with a pool and hamocks. Breakfast is included, it's basic, bread, cereal and fruit, however it fills you up. I... More

Great facility's and clean rooms with comfy beds. Sadly the staff was a bit uneasy/ unfriendly. Partly because the strict rules. No drinking in the pool area, got told to keep or laughing down (really wasn't that loud) at 4 in the arrvo. No music during any time of the day. No visitors allowed to drop by and say hi... More

I stayed here during August 2014. What I like: The staff were friendly. Good location, close to the centre. The public bus stop right infront of the hostel. Information and activities copy during your check-in. Has a swimming pool and nice communal area. Great breakfast! A lot of activities in the hostel such as cooking lesson, salsa lesson and yoga... Nomadas hostel is an absolute delight. It has everything you could possibly ask for from a hostel. The pool and hammocks are a perfect way to relax in a hot afternoon in Merida and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need whilst being really clean too! I didn't join in with the organised activities as I had other... More

Stayed here in September 2014. This place is clean, has lockers and plugs in the room, computers to use and wi-fi, a pool with hammocks all around, nice common areas to socialize, provides you with an excellent outline of the city and how to get around at checkin, and the best part - has free salsa lessons every night and... I stayed here for three nights and it was a very enjoying experiecne . Its location is good and easy to find ,as for the 1st night I arrived in Merida late in the evening and from the second-bus station I just walked 20 minutes to find it. This is a really good hostel. The rooms and nice and the pool is BEAUT and they have a nice communal area where everyone chats and gets to know each other. There was also a cookery lesson which was really good. Problems: Too many rules. No spirits allowed to be consumed, only beer and wine. Silence after 11 so you... More

... it's a great spot. A 100% backpackers accommodation. A lot of young people were there. The place is an old colonial house and they didn't spend too much time refurnishing it, only new color paint and new bunk beds. Each big-enough spot is a private or shared rooms. They offer salsa lessons in the evening, yoga sessions in the... More
