This place is great - cool hang out areas, a pool, great breakfast (toast, jam, honey, cereal, bananas, mandarins, tangelos, coffee, tea), mostly clean bathrooms, hot water (except - weirdly - in one of the girls' bathrooms) and really super helpful staff (apart from one really ditzy night guy). Good WiFi too. The only thing that lets it down is... More

The hostel offered an oasis from the mid-day heat. It was central to many locations in Merida and staff were informative on how to get to nearby activities. Rooms were basic but most of our time was spent in the common spaces or out at activities. Breakfast was good and crowd was friendly.

I'm conflicted about this hostel. Nice atmosphere, great pool, decent breakfast, friendly staff, cool hang-out spots, decent location. However: the private rooms are more expensive (490 pesos) than private rooms in neighboring hotels (such as Hotel San Juan), and they: are either old and murky, or unfinished, with concrete walls, no fan, no shower curtain. The private rooms have no... More

Nomadas was such a wonderful home base for our stay in Merida. Very close to main attractions and walkable to bus stations. We had a private room with a bathroom. While a little expensive by hostel standards, it feels somewhere between a hostel and a hotel. The crowd is definitely not the party type -- all ages, very chill. The... More

I didn't particularly enjoy my stay here. The dorm rooms are absolutely HUGE, it feels like a cattle farm if that makes sense. Just rows of metal bunk beds. Every thing seemed clean enough. It's a bit of a walk from town centre, but closer to other attractions. Also it is sometimes nice to be a bit away from the... More

I can definitely not reccoment to stay in this hostel. The cultural aspect of traveling gets totally lost if you stay here since the hostel is VERY Americanized. Some of the stuff members are nice,in other cases very inconsiderate and disrespectful. The price is with over 15 dollars way to high. The dorm rooms are way to big and private... More

I stayed in a private room at this hostel, no major complaints. It is in a great location, just a straight road to the zocalo, plenty of shops and restaurants there. My room was kept clean and tidied. Unfortunately didn't get time to use the pool but it looked nice. I did have an issue with the showers a couple... More

We stayed in a single room facing the courtyard with its own bathroom and ceiling fans. The staff is well informed and is willing to share it with guests. They have lots of travel recommendations and suggestions to help your visit. Lots of free activities happen on site; cooking class, salsa dancing, yoga and visiting troubadours (tip them). There is... More

Wonderful hostel, for meeting other travelers and lots of activities organised with informative staff, as well as english speaking. We stayed in the private double facing the courtyard. Breakfast is included and a fantastic kitchen where you can cook and have lunch and dinner, market is a stroll but excellent. There is yoga, salsa classes for free which is fun.... More

Me and my friend really enjoyed our time here! A really good hostel for meeting people, because of the organised activities! We took advantage of the free yoga class, which was amazing, small group, wonderfully peaceful and serene! And they cooking class and salsa class! Both really fun and great teachers! Definitely recommend staying here! Wonderful hostel!
