the good things: it's very charming, you feel like you're staying a room in someone's house, had private/gated parking 24hours a day, staff was very friendly and nice. The room was clean and had air conditioning as requested and the staff let us see the room first before paying. Easy to find/good location in Merida. the bad: The SHOWERS- first... more

A feast for the artistic eye. You'll find a wide variety of artforms here, in virtually every nook and cranny of the place. This, combined with the tropical plants and birds, antique furniture, and colonial Mexican architecture, makes for a veritable undiscovered treasure. Add to this the low rate, a helpful staff, and convenient location in the heart of Merida,... more

We stayed here for two nights in May. Front desk was helpful with planning tours and advising on eateries. took pesos and dollars. Breakfasts are huge and cheap on upstairs, outdoor patio. Ask to see the rooms first, can be musty if downstairs. Three blocks from main square makes it close enough to walk, but away from the Sunday late... more

We have been staying in the La Galeria throughout the years, but unfortunately, the quality has gone down to a bad state. Half the staff are very helpful, however the the other half will actively ignore you. Paying your bill can be challenging at times. The hotel's policy now is : They will not accept Credit Cards of any-types, no... more

Me and my wife we stayed at this hotel just for one night on the way from Cancun to Palenque. Hotel looks a little strange - many arts, painting, sculptures, small fountains etc. If you have an artistic soul you may like it. The room was pretty big, with a big bed but there were a few things that made... more

Trinidad Galeria was the worst exprience we had in Mexico. The beds are very bad, no window in the room, no hot water, even the toilet broke... The staff was not friendly, even not interested in our complaints. Only a few rooms downstairs are more ore less ok, but also this rooms are not worth the (budget ) price. After... more

I fell under the spell of the website, but the property leaves much to be desired. I was offered a pick of rooms - a tiny airless one, or a larger one. Both had scary (stained and buggy) showers and the room was secured on the inside by a lock designed for bathroom stalls. The pool looked great and the... more

We stayed at Trinidad Galeria for the budget prize. This is a cheap hotel and a very unique one. Arriving at night is quite spooky as the art gallery is everywhere and very extravagant. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly as all the people in Merida (big change when you go to Cancun!) It is in... more

First, I noticed other reviews might to be referring to Hotel Trinidad, its sister hotel, the one with the high ceilings. I stayed in Trinidad GALERIA, and, though interesting, there is simply better value elsewhere. On the plus side it is clean, the funky art is amusing, the pool is fine. I'm not saying it's horrible. I was forced to... more

Centrally located hotel, within walking distance of zocalo, dining options, bars, breakfast cafes, and with private parking. Very friendly service, and helpful with directions and suggestions. Reserved via e-mail, and hotel was quick to respond. Stayed here early February with my wife (rooms MXP 400, suite MXP 550). Suite (others fully booked the night we stayed) was not a suite... more
