Hotel is well located just a block away from PASEO MONTEJO. The Hyatt and FIESTA AMERICANA Hotels are nest door. Two year ago we stayed at the Fiesta Americana hotels, but this time it was full so we stayed at the Intercintinental, Its an older hotel than the fiesta americana, the Lobby its Small but nice, the elevators are old.... more

We stayed at this place for a few nights during our honeymoon, using it as a base to explore western and central Yucatan. We wanted to stay at one of the Haciendas but they were full, so we decided to give it a try. Undoubtedly, the highlight of the hotel was the breakfast, make sure that your reservation includes it!... more

We recently spent a weekend here and used the Intercon Merida as a home base for a visit around the Yucatan. The hotel was in the northern part of the city and easy to access the colonial center. It was also right across from a small mall in the Fiesta Americana that had some restaurants and lots of car rental... more

What a HUGE disappointment, especially for the Intercontinental Hotel chain. I live and work in Mexico and travel extensively, and will now certainly think twice about staying at another Intercontinental hotel. On the surface, this hotel appears to be a first class luxury boutique hotel. However, as soon as I checked in it was all downhill for the two day... more

I was very impressed with this hotel. For $79 the night we got an incredible room. The room was stylish, the AC [which in my opinion along cleanliness are the two both important things of any hotel] worked very well! The floor was marble, which makes cleanliness easy to see [not like others that use carpet...which you can't see if... more

I checked out this hotel after being unhappy with the hotel originally booked (Casa Lucia). We ended up choosing the Hyatt (see that review). I expected better with the Interncontental branding. The hotel had been owned privately but became an Intercontinental about a year ago. I asked the guy who showed me the room if they had changed much and... more

The hotel itself is fine, and for a business visit adequate - but the wireless internet access (although free) didn't reach my room, and I ended up sitting in the hotel lobby - in straight view of the wireless access point. great for watching people though. The pool was too small and uninviting. I didn't see anyone using it during... more

This review will be short, sweet and to the point. If you are visiting Merida, Mx, a really lovely city and the capital of the Yucatan, this hotel, Hotel Villa Mercedes, is a great choice! It is luxurious, has lots of ambiance, a very friendly staff, and beautiful rooms with the most comfortable beds! The food is excellent....the location is... more

The service at Villa Mercedes is awful. When my husband booked the reservation, we requested a quiet room on an upper floor. When we arrived, we received a first floor room facing the street. We complained but the hotel was full. We asked to receive a complimentary breakfast due to the snafu, the best the hotel could do was free... more
