It has been three years since we stayed at the Posado Toledo and we've never forgotten our two nights there. I remember, even without the 20 photographs, the suite we stayed in - two-three rooms decorated with amazing furniture from Spain and cornices and moldings to envy in any country. I remember Paula at the desk who collects ball point... more

Returned to Merida for another wonderful stay at PosadaToledo. Located in the centro, it is within walking distance of all sites to see. The front desk staff will inform you of all cultural events and activities taking place. We were amused to discover, the rooms were all upgraded to include air conditioner,,,,and last year, we were so sure there was... more

We stayed here in the fall of 2006, paying about 50 USD for a "superior" room, insisting that we wanted a quiet room. The hotel is in an old home. Our room was in the original part of the building, off the interior courtyard. Every word that was said at the reception desk or lobby was heard loudly in our... more

We stayed at Posada Toledo for one night during our trip. While it is definitely a hotel with a lot of charm, and is a very good value, we found the accomodations to be only average. We did not take advantage of the breakfast, which we hear is excellent. Not seeing what else was available in the price range, it... more

This is a lovely hotel in the centre of Merida. I unfortunately took the advice of Tourist Information when I first arrived in Merida and went to The Pink Flamigo hotel (the name should have put me off) just a few metres away from Posada Toledo. It wasn't very nice, so moved to the Toledo the next day. Although a... more

My mother, me and 2 friends had our vacation at Playa Del Carmen November 2005 and as we wanted to look around at Youcatan we hired a card and went to Merida to stay at the Hotel Posada Toledo for one night. We went right to the hotel as we came to Merida and got 3 nice big rooms right... more

I contacted the Posada Toledo by e-mail. When we arrived our room was ready and waiting. Room # 25 on the 3rd floor was perfect. The view was very lovely and the antiques were great. Paula speaks wonderful english and gives very accurate directions for anything you need. We had breakfast every morning and it was great. All of the... more

I would agree with the other reviewers. This is a beautiful colonial hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The prices are a little higher for rooms with AC (but only by a few dollars), but since it is very hot in Merida (we were there in early September) I recommend AC (if you're there over the summer). Another... more

After 3 nights at the Hotel Caribe in Merida, my husband and I chose to try a different hotel. The Posada Toledo is one block north of the Caribe between Parque Hidalgo and Parque Santa Lucia, where many public festivities take place. The Posada is a refurbished old mansion with a courtyard garden and lots of atmosphere. Because there were... more
