I stayed at Hotel Dolores Alba in Merida for five days in November, 2007. It is a real bargain at $46/night. Very clean--super clean actually. Excellent pool area for a hotel in the city. The center courtyard was under construction and was just being finished when I was there. It should be very nice. A mix of Mexican and Euro/Norteamericano... more

Wonderful ,quiet hotel near the heart of Centro. The pool area is so relaxing. Our room was clean, located on the 3rd floor. We had NO water pressure in the shower. Maybe this is the norm or just from being on the 3rd floor. Being a female with thick hair, washing it was impossible in the shower. Breaksfast was beyond... more

On a recent trip to Merida, Mx I stayed at this property. Someone else highly recommended this hotel. I took a taxi to the address given and thought by the outside appearance I must have gotten the street or the number wrong. I was told it was a lovely hotel with a beautiful pool and courtyard. From the street it... more

This lovely hotel certainly lives up to the hype. It's clean, comfortable, modern, and quiet but with a distinct Mexican charm. It's away from the other tourist hotels and a four block walk to the main square. The only slight negatives are the mediocre restaurant (why eat here when the Mercado is brimming with cheap eats only 3 blocks away?)... more

Nice room, superbly clean. Beautiful pool. The best hotel in Merida for the money. I am a resident, and sometimes get a room just to relax on the weekends. The breakfasts aren't very good; you can do better elsewhere for the price, but that's all I can think of negative to say about the place. Friendly front desk, extremely clean,... more

I went to have dental work in Merida and combined a vacation. We stayed for eleven nights at Hotel Dolores Alba and were delighted! The value is very high because for about $43 USD per night we had everything: kind staff, modern room, both AC and fan, great pool, colonial decor, plenty of hot water, good cable TV, and well-located... more

The Dolores Alba is good value for money. It is quite close to the centre of Merida. The rooms are basic but clean and situated around the pool. The staff is very friendly and speaks good English. Other on-site facilities are good: there is a nice patio where you can have a (basic) breakfast and you could have dinner there,... more

We went in Merida on 28-04 for three days as senior tourist with good traveller experience. The hotel has been choosen directly after several emails with different hotels. The good impression was confirmed when we arrived there. The hotel is a very good located respect the city center, has beatiful and spacious rooms, all was new, the swimming and the... more

I stayed for 2 nights in February. The hotel is several blocks from the main part of town (5-10 minutes) and the immediate surroundings were a bit foreboding, but the hotel was beautiful. The atmosphere was great, the reception staff was helpful and the room was very large and comfortable. On top of that, the price was very reasonable. I... more

A friend and I stayed at the Dolores Alba in Merida for three nights in early March. Like many buildings in Merida, the hotel doesn't look like much from the street, but once you are inside, it has two beautiful courtyards. One courtyard has tables for the restaurant and the other courtyard has a nice swimming pool surrounded by lounge... more
