This is not a luxury place but the beds are fine, the water is hot, there is air con, the pool is neither too hot not too cold (about 12m), and the breakfast includes fresh fruit, cooked options, white bread and cake. Very pleasant courtyards, staff friendly and helpful, central. overall fantastic value.

The hotel is about four blocks from the main square, and the walk is not dangerous, but on narrow and crowded urban commercial sidewalks. The entrance is unimpressive, but the inside is really quite attractive and pleasant. A solid hot buffet breakfast was included, and the pool is a very pleasant place to cool off on hot Merida days. Very clean and comfortable. We loved the tile and the pool area! Some employees were extremely friendly and helpful, others not so much. Either way, you can't beat the price and the proximity to downtown!

I stayed a week at the hotel mid May 2014. I found it clean and comfortable. It is located close to the square. The only problem I found was walking to the centro area as the sidewalks are narrow and it seemed to be the street and blocks that all the local buses start from. The street is filled with... More

The geographical location of the hotel is awesome. But that is where it ended for us. We booked via Internet site, as a value option, and got a room in the old part of the hotel, which is pretty old and dated, however we would need to pay extra for a room in the new part. Now I do wish... More

The building itself, is awesome, but it is a bit old and needs some make up, specially the rooms, with old furniture, although they are useful. WiFi was a bit poor. The personal was friendly and there is a safe parking. Breakfast buffet was ok. There is parking.

The Hotel Dolores Alba, located in downtown Merida, doesn't look all that appealing from the outside, but once past the front door, the huge open-air patio, where the reception is found, and the three tiers of rooms overlooking it are pretty impressive. Back of this area is the newer part of the hotel, surrounding a good-size pool. The rooms in this... More

As a 2 star hotel or 2 1/2 stars is fine (maybe even 3). For my taste, the rooms are quite outdated although a bit improved (painted, ..). However, if you are not too demanding in terms of aesthetics, it is acceptable to have a bathroom which has served several years and the noisy air conditioner, it is not a... More

We stayed three nights. Even if the main entrance didn't look very promising, this hotel is very nice and clean. Rooms are big and comfortable. It is well located in the city center and has free car parking. The towels provided for the bathroom were sometimes old and breakfast was just ok. Wifi was a bit weak in our room.... More
