Quiet nice place in central Merida. Old Spanish look with a lot of Mexican flavor. Maria at Reception was kind and helpful. Pet friendly! Nice swimming pool and ambiance. While in Merida don't miss it if you can.

Wonderful location, a couple of blocs only from the main park, the cathedral, the monuments and the museums. The hotel has a cute courtyard with a very special decoration and feel, nice and helpful staff, tasty breakfast... You get a lot for the price you pay!

Don’t let the simple front door deceive you, the inside courtyard is exquisite. This was our second stay at Dolores Alba, having stayed previously in 2007. The major difference is that the front courtyard is now covered. While we preferred the open sky, we understand this makes the courtyard all-season. But we encountered the same friendly staff and clean rooms,... More

Easy to book, warm welcome, excellent price, rooms are basic but clean. Included free was parking, wifi, swimming pool, breakfast, air conditioning. Best value I've seen in a long time. For the price, we can't complain. It is not a luxury hotel where I would spend a week, but nothing is missing. The room is basic, and not modern, the... More

Just returned from my 5th visit to Merida and my 3rd time, spending a whole month in this unique area of Mexico! The easy part was choosing which hotel to stay in. The hard part is fitting in all the on-going things there are to do in the Yucatan! The Dolores Alba offers all the amenities a seasoned traveller is... More

My husband and I stayed five nights. The front desk staff were very friendly, spoke excellent English and very accomadating. The lobby, huge and breakfast was good. The pool area is great with a lot of chairs to lounge on, pool is freezing, but very clean! The rooms aren't fancy, but clean. The beds are rock solid hard, mattress is... More

The position is central but not the best you could get. Despite this, the hotel is silent and peaceful. Rooms are very big and quite clean, but there was a bad smell coming form the bathroom. Also, they only provide small towels. The wifi is only available in the lobby. Staff could be kinder and the price is quite high.... More

My wife and I stayed two nights. The hotel itself was very pleasant. The rooms were not fancy but nice and clean. The pool area was nice to sit at and the courtyard where breakfast is taken was very nice. Only downside is once you leave the hotel it is not the charming old part of the city. You must... More

Pros: new wing has large room, nicely decorated. Clean generally but our feet got dirty walking barefoot in room. Off street parking available next door. No hair dryer in room but available for borrowing at front desk. Cons: No drinking water provided. In bathroom, no bath mat, hand towel or shampoo. Small bath towels. Nice looking pool with lounge chairs... More

First the positives; front desk spoke very good English and was helpful. Free breakfast was good, limited selection. So, so; rooms were clean and basic, price was low on a per night. Negatives; load music from a bar could be heard into the early mornings. Shutting the bathroom door had a limiting muffle effect; however, if you are a light... More
