It's a nice looking hotel from the outside and the court yard is very nice, plus they have a little pool at the top. But make sure you say you want a room facing the court yard. We were placed in a "back alley room" with no window and a noise air con from the second millennium which kept us... More

Very comfortable budget hotel, always stay here everytime I am in Merida...Great location with a very nice breakfast and restaurant, love the mariachi music. Very close to downtown, and easy to see the bookstore and to catch a bus.

The hotel itself seemed nice, quirky atmosphere and excellent location (no parking though which you've got to factor in if you're driving). All good points though are squandered by the fact that half the hotel is currently under complete construction ie plastic drapes everywhere, dust coating everything, the smell of sewage and the sound of drilling next to our room.... Hotel Caribe's location is unmatched, its within walking distance to everything in the city center, one block from the Plaza de la independencia and Catedral. The building itself is beautiful, historic old world charm and appeal. We were lucky enough to be on the top floor, next to the pool, which provided us with amazing views of the Catedral's towers.... We were travelling through Yucatan for our Honeymoon and were placed here for 2 nights. The hotel being refurbished at the moment, bringing a lot of noise and dust and no nice view. Only loud builders walking up and Down the stairs. Our room, unfortunately not a refurbished one, was old. The only thing that worked was the WiFi. For... More

Located in the centre of town this hotel offers a nice if slightly run down colonial character and a bit of tranquility at a budget price. Yes air con is a little noisy but breakfast choice was decent and the rooms are clean. Great for a short stay or if you're on a budget.

We found this place by visiting it's restaurant while staying next door at the Gran Hotel. The crew at the restaurant was very accommodating, and not uptight, by serving late breakfast even though it was past their normal breakfast hours. Other nearby places were very uptight about this, but this place was very chill and accommodating, so we decided to... More

I loved the colonial feel of this hotel. It's appearance was reason enough for me to book a room here, while its pricing was equally appealing. It was very clean and the courtyard was quiet and spacious and had a fountain in the middle which made a pleasant noise after long days exploring. We had a room on the top... More

On our first trip to Merida, we were set up at Caribe Hotel by Maya Amazing Tours. We loved the authentic feel of the place and the location was perfect. We came back to Merida later in our trip and never considered another location. We booked again at Caribe. We felt safe everywhere we walked, even late at night. Breakfast... More
