We have always visited the hotel's restaurant and have always enjoyed an excellent meal offered during the "Sunday Family Buffet". Just last Sunday my wife and I decided to pay them a visit. AWFUL is not exactly the best word to describe it, but awfully worse would be better. Insufficient food for all guests, a typical meal mixed with remains... More

Well, hotel El Conquistador in Merida, Mexico is quite OK and I wouldn't have any remarks, perhaps, if were not surprised with fact that there are more lifts for personnel than for guests. And that's the only objection on my part. The fact was we came there together with very big group and by lifts there was a bit crowd... More

I had to stay here as an 'emergency' since the hotel I had already booked online was awful, and this was the only one with availability and a good price. It is definitely not a 5 star, but the personnel was always friendly, the room was ok, clean and quiet, the rooftop pool I did find gorgeous. They also have... More

It is a nice hotel, very well located, with generous size rooms. The hotel offers a great buffet breakfast, and it has a gym and a pool. That's the good part. The hotel is noisy. Its over a main street, and the windows are not sound proof. The doors and walls are not sound proof either. I could hear the... More

This hotel was booked as a part of our private tour by our travel agency in Mexico. It is a great great, clean hotel with one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in. Food variety for breakfast was out of the world. Rooms are so big and the furniture is so well arranged. Bathroom is a nice size... More

I recently stayed at this hotel not by choice, but it was through a package deal on an over night trip to Merida (loved Merida). I read the reviews and from what I can see, NOT all rooms are the same. Someone's review said their room was modern and updated, while the room we had was very old, including furniture,... More

Ideally located on a street with many restaurants, the hotel is a 20 minute walk to the Cathedral and zocalo. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, however the sheets were stained and the was dirt/dust on the floor. Not the level of cleanliness you would expect from a 5 star hotel, even in Mexico. Great buffet for breakfast, good and reasonably... More

We had stayed at another hotel which we found unfriendly and decided to move to the Hotel El Conquistador. It was well located and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room was spotless as was the entire hotel. There was a buffet breakfast that was delicious and very affordable. There is a travel agent... More

From the outside the hotel doesn't look like much. Even the corridors look dark and seem like a rabbit warren. But wait....the rooms are a lot better! Room is very clean with modern furnishings and is quiet. The bathroom also clean. Wifi and cable TV coverage very good. The buffet breakfast was very impressive in terms of selection and quality....
