Stayed for 2 nights, 15th and 16th July as part of a tour of Yucatan. We really liked this hotel. It's well placed, a 20 minute walk to the main town square. The rooms were very comfortable and well-equipped. The pool is on the roof and we enjoyed having lunch up there on our second day. Restaurant is good, we... More

Very nice hotel on the Paseo de Montejo. The staff are polite and helpful. Nice beds and pillows. Shower was hot and plenty of pressure. Breakfast was great. We stayed here for six nights and lived every minute.Great food surrounds this hotel. Walking distance to shops and cafes. Bus stop on the corner and an oxxo just down the way.

Breakfast is decent but nothing special, rooms are sub par. Bed linen is very old and we had to change rooms as fungus was there for sure, given the smell. Pool at the top is very small. Dont even think about eating there beyond breakfast. It's a pity, given great experience at Kuuk and Apoala.

Checking in was smooth. Staff were pleasant. Rooms were clean and averagely comfortable. Room and bathroom amenities were averagely adequate. Breakfast was adequate. This is a tourist class hotels that caters to groups. Location was not too bad. A good 30 minute walk brings you to the 'Zocalo' (town square). Head south on Paseo de Montejo..take a right at Calle... More

The Hotel El Conquistador is located on a nice, but busy street, away for the historical part of town. They provide their guests with a small bottle of drinking water each. Luckily, there is a XOXO right down the street to get what you need. Large breakfast buffet, but the best part is the omelet station. Even though they have... More

One of the stops during the trip I've made last December in Mexico, was in Merida, Hotel El Conquistador. The city is absolutely gorgeous, with peaceful and hospitable people, but the hotel has not much words to say. The hotel was recommended by my travel agent. I checked it on TripAdvisor and the rank did not seem very bad, so... More

Arriving in Merida after a ten days roundtrip in Mexico, we were, for the first time in Mexico, met at the front desk with smiling faces. A very nice welcome, and in fluent english! All over, the service was very good, rooms were clean and with good size. Breakfast was good, but when we had dinner in the same room,... More

Made a last-minute itinerary change to stay in Merida for Christmas Eve and El Conquistador was one of few places with availability. I don't normally give negative reviews, but this place was very disappointing. While staff was pleasant enough, after walking through unusually (strangely) dark hallways from elevator to get to our room, as soon as we opened door, we... More

the only place in mexico that actually provided us with the three beds we asked for. rooms were large and airy. noisy if we kept the windows open. no views. staff were so so, no great shakes. meals were expensive and not good. surprisingly the breakfast was nice. all in all an okay stay.
