Unless you are paying $20 USD a night and are ready to stay in a twenty dollar hotel, don't stay here. The hotel is run down, the bathrooms and showers are really sad. The change the furniture and the beds are not bad, if you are on a thigh budget and plan to spend not time here, maybe... but I... More

In the reception of this hotel you get the impression of a very nice hotel but as soon as they take you upstairs to the rooms you realize it's a very worn down place. For me the most important thing in a hotel is a clean bed and clean toilet and shower. In this hotel our bed was clean but... More

Location and price is very good. Staff is friendly. There is a pool. Unfortunately the rooms have a heavy smell of mold and dirt. Bathroom is not very fresh and clean. There was no hot water when we were there.

We have stayed at this hotel 2 years and have booked it for 2015. Room pricing excellent as we require 2 to 3 rooms for our family. Restaurant has a bit of everything menu and all the meals were tasty. Beds comfortable, free internet & water in room. Free Security protected parking, a bonus because parking is at a premium... This is a conveniently located hotel with great front desk staff and AIR CONDITIONING. They are always willing to help you and know a lot. It's easy to walk to the main plaza, the bus station, and lots of great restaurants. Cleanliness was better on the weekends, but nothing too egregious (a hair in the bed, staff kicking my shoes... Location was very good. In 10 minutes you can reach the main plaza in Merida, where all the main restaturants are located. Rooms were clean, but the shower was not working good. it was impossibile to set the right temperature and water was too much hot. The breakfast was not included and they charged 10 US $ for person. We had to stay here for 5 days due to a lost green card. We randomly found this place and were pleasantly surprised. We got the smallest room they had because we just wanted a place to crash and didn't need a hotel "experience" But it's a pretty nice hotel anyway and the staff are excessively friendly and helpful. It's... More

Sunday morning travel to home issues stranded us in Merida another 2 days. Truly no way to leave until Tuesday morning. Using TripAdvisor to find lodging for two nights we chose and booked Hotel Maria del Carmen. We arrived there around 9:00 am where we met David at the Front Desk and alerted him to our needs. We left our... More

Stayed with my wife for 3 days recently. This is an OK base for exploring Merida. It's a fairly bland motel-like place, but the rooms are adequately sized and completely functional (though note there was only a shower, no tub). There's attended parking, and a good sized swimming pool. Restaurant serves a reasonable breakfast (not included in room rate though,... More
