Honestly, my stay here was fine, but there are so many better choices in Merida. The location is decent though a bit outside of the main downtown historic area, The employees were nice enough. But the hotel is showing its age and could use some freshening up. I ate lunch at the hotel restaurant buffet one day and it was... More

Went to the breakfast buffet and absolutely overdosed on smoked salmon and cream cheese with a not quite bagel (it's the flour that's the problem). So much wonderful food it is not possible to taste it all. Expensive for Merida but worth it!

Very nice hotel.  Upscale public areas and rooms.  Only compliments on the service, food and decor.  However, if you are wanting the Merida, Yucatan experience, this isnt it.  It is a very nice, American-business-type hotel.  One exception was the breakfast restaurant which was decorated Mexican and served "typical" dishes.  I particularly liked the fresh "green" juice and have reproduced it... Terrific location near Paseo de Montejo, and excellent food at quite reasonable prices. But the real test is how they deal with a problem. When there was limited use of the pool because of an "event," they more than made up with an immediate upgrade. That's great service.

We are renting a house in Merida for two weeks, but our flight was delayed, and we arrived in Merida so late that we had to check into a hotel. The taxi driver said the Hyatt was the best in town! At check in you standing in a large lobby, pretty modern and together. They had rooms, the guy in... More

I was ambivalent when booking this hotel for a 4 day stay; reviews seemed mixed and half-hearted, but I liked the location and for this particular trip, wanted an international-standard hotel rather than a smaller local boutique (which I often prefer). First, reviewers who note "noise" are not entirely wrong, but in my experience Mexican hotels nearly always have hallways... More

We recently stayed at the Hyatt in Merida and were greeted by a beautiful foyer and very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. we agree with previous comments regarding noise levels due to the tiled hallways and heavy doors, we were given a different room at the end of the hallway the next day which was... If you aren't on the club level and value sleep, don't stay here. I chose this hotel because I had points. On the floors with the rooms, the hallways are tiled and the room doors are heavy. Between that and the acoustics, the hallways are very loud. I've been woken up in the middle of the night from guests talking... More

This is a very nice hotel, with a great location. Close to Paseo Montejo, convinience stores, supermarkets and restaurants. The hotel offers a free internet option and free parking. The rooms are nice.
