This our third time in Mérida in the past 4 years. What can we say, we thought the hotel could not get any better, but ohhhh we were wrong again. Now that Jan & Rita has hired a chef called Ramone it is now a great addition to their staff. Now you can have not only breakfast but also lunch... More

Jan & Rita (the proprietors) Really go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. It is a B&B with Ritz Carlton service. The Chef Ramon prepares delicious food for those who stay there and is also an excellent host. If you are going to explore Merida there is no better choice than the Hotel Merida Santiago!

Our 3 week stay in Merida was memorable due to the wonderful little hotel. comfortable, spacious room, fantastic service, superb margaritas. But the key to this magic were Rita and Jan :generous with time, their friendly concern and help. They made us feel at home, and actually included us in some of their activities: jazz festival, carnival, large farmers' market.... More

I really enjoyed the stay at Merida Santiago. I stayed there new Years eve and the next 2 nights. The rooms were wonderful, the hotel is walking distance to the main square and shopping in the area. Jan was great in helping me negotiate Merida. He helped get a rental car for me to go get some Museum Quality Pottery... More

When we think of Merida, we will certainly remember the hotel we stayed at and the friendly and engaging couple that manages it. I cannot recall a hotel experience that offered so much about the local culture. The couple frequently interacted with their guests and made us/everyone feel very comfortable asking questions about their stay and daily excursions in and... More

We stayed in this lovely boutique hotel in January and can highly recommend the accommodation , the personal service, and the location. Behind a plain façade is a charming and comfortable bar/dining and reading area with the spacious rooms above or across the pool area. Very quiet, yet walking distance to the centre. The owners Jan and Rita looked after... More

Everything about this hotel is great!!! Our room was amazing, large, beautifully decorated with a really nice bathroom (including a jacuzzi bathtub). We loved the blue hammock in our room too! Rita & Jan are excellent hosts! Their attention to details is superb. They are very helpful when it comes to tourist attraction tips, solving car problems or health issues.... More

Without doubt the best hotel we stayed in in Mexico, and very probably the most welcoming hotel we've ever stayed in. From welcome drinks and advice on what to see, to the awesome breakfast, and to the owners (Rita and Jan) who feel like friends within minutes of meeting them. The rooms are spacious and kitted out with everything you... More

This small but excellent hotel exceeded our expectations. The property is lovely and newly constructed using the front section of an historic home as the entrance. The hosts are friendly, courteous, helpful and genuinely interested in pleasing their guests. It is located in a quiet, residential area but within easy walking distance to the center of the city. Ramón, the... More

First - owner of the hotel is very warm person. He welcomed us heartily and explained everything about hotel. Hotel is very cute inside, rooms are cozy and stylish. Breakfast was magnificent! Freshly squeezed juice, custom made panuches, coffee. We got so much warm attention. I would visit this place again.
