we loved the location, the staff- Oscar is an amazing person! The architecture of the place is very interesting and beautiful. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and open. But the BREAKFASTS in that place outrank every B&B,hostel or hotel where breakfast is included. Not only you leave full (or stuffed ;) but the choice and quality of things to eat... More

I´m in love with the architecture of this hostel, the staff is very kind and the breakfast was amazing! We stayed in a room in front of the plaza, so it was a little bit noisy when there was a concert in the plaza. Still, I would go back there for sure.

Breakfast is really great. Too bad one girl has to make all the omelets herself. She does the best she can, but sometimes we had to wait close to an hour to eat breakfast.  Location is not good, unless you like loud noise and music all the time. Our room had a balcony with a view to the Zocalo and... More

This very convenient hostal offers a variety of options ( beds, single/multiple rooms with or without private bathroom) for a very convenient price. A very rich breakfast (with fruit, yogurt, coffee, cereals, omelette, bread ...) is offered, and you can always use the kithcen. Another very important thing, especially without having a car, is that it is located at the... More

Location is amazing. Room was great. We had the private room with a balcony facing the plaza, it was a fantastic room. Clean, tidy, comfy bed and pillows. Only down side to our stay was the shared bathrooms, they were aweful. Not clean, bins overflowing, no soap, lots of water all over the floor so quite slippery. This was the... More

Don't stay there, the dorms are infested with bed bugs. I got badly bitten and then realised the floor had dead bed bugs and dirt everywhere & the matress was full of those creepy creatures. The hostel staff did not give me a new bed (said they were full) upon discovery of the infestation at 3am, instead I was asked... More

Dear readers, don't let the trappings of a hearty breakfast and numerous good reviews fool you. No matter how good the location et al, nothing zaps that warm fuzzy feeling out of your system like your roomy jumping up in the middle of a sound sleep and you helping brush all the bedbugs off of them. Every mattress I checked... More

I stayed in Zocalo for three nights and it was very good. Clean, friendly staff but sometimes noisy at night. Breakfast was delicious with lots of fruits and an omelet. There are very nice and special excursions, organised by Oscar, one of the staff. He takes you to places where almost no other tourists are and shows you great attracions... More

I've stayed at this hostel 3 times. It's located in the main square and it is just awesome!! Friendly environment. The staff there is just very welcoming and will always try to help. They also provide you detailed info for places to go, restaurants and how much they should cost. (Not being charged as a tourist but as a native... More

Really good hostel with spacious kitchen and lounge with wifi, good beds and big fans. The rooms against the square are bigger, have balconys and are a bit mor expensive, but well worth it. Bring earplugs dough if your room is against the zocalo. And the breakfast, so much better than many 3* hotels ive been at.
