The good things: The property is beautiful, especially the decor. Keith is lovely, and makes a nice big breakfast. I want to love this place, but I think Keith is understaffed. He needs some help, and it would be much better. No AC in our room was a big issue here. It felt like a sauna, hot and damp. He... More

Aside from the 4 puddles of piss in our room from Keith's dog and the musty room with a matress that sends both of the sleepers to the center of it, Keith- who told us that he u2J5y been there since 1998 couldn't tell us where to go for a cup of coffee. Fortunately we've been to Merida before and... More

About eight years’ ago, Keith and his then wife came out from the UK to Merida and converted a rundown hostel into this lovely B&B. Now a widower, Keith still runs the business which consists of a small number of rooms of various sizes – including a suite at the back; a swimming pool; lush vegetation and outdoor eating. As... This b&b is run by Keith who runs it very well despite being on his own without his wife who passed recently. He is very attentive and breakfast is lovely by the pool each morning. Its 10minutes walk to calle 60 the main strip. Bessie the dog is lovely, the hotel itself is gorgeous the rooms spacious. Wish we had... More

We stayed in Hotel Zamna for ten days over a period of two weeks in December and January. This small hotel is a gem in the Barrio de Santiago, a great neighborhood that is just several blocks from the Plaza Grande. It's about three blocks from both the Merida English Library and the Santiago Park; the latter has a lovely... More

Good choice for Merida. The place is reasonably priced and the house is very nice. It is run by a retired British couple who will treat you very well. It is also close to the center (10-15 mins walking distance). The only negative is that the room we were in (the first on the left next to the street) was... More

We discovered Casa Zamna on a recent house hunting trip to Merida. Not only were we treated like family, Linda and Keith booked exursions for us, helped us deal with realtors and gave us amazing advise on Merida. The room was so comfortable and the included breakfast was amazing. Location cannot be beat and close to great places to eat.... More

I had a really nice stay with Linda and Keith. What I appreciated is that their property is exactly what I expected. I felt like anything you would want is just a short walk nearby. The property is very well groomed and the room was VERY clean. I liked how comfortable I immediately felt there, in that it was 'a... More

I live in Merida but I had to vacate my house during some minor construction for a week. I called around to several hotels that I had stayed in previous years but there were no vacancies. A friend recommended Hotel Zamna and I was able to book a week there. Keith and Linda (Owners) were very gracious and charming. The... More

Hotel Zamna is one of the great small hotels in Merida. From the refreshing tropical atmosphere to the attention to detail and the delightful owners (Linda & Keith) it is an oasis in a big city. Relax in one of the uniquely decorated rooms, sip on a beverage in the lush courtyard or take a swim. For a really fun... More
