This hotel is located on the north east corner of Isla Mujeres, the hotel is U shaped, two stories and fronting on the Kings Pool beach, sheltered by an off shore reef, good for swimming and snorkelling. The courtyard garden has hammocks and shaded areas for sitting. A great location for families and couples, a bit off the main beach... More

We ran to Isla this trip after a bad experience in Playa del Carmen. This was our 6th visit to Isla over a period of about 15 years. We typically try to stay in hotels with an $80-120 per night range and found this place as good as most within that range, although prices have gone up pretty dramatically on... More

The location, 2 steps from Playa Norte, is amazing. The beach right in front of the hotel is also beautiful. The room was large and neat but unexpected: we booked a bungalow which revealed to be a room on the 2nd floor of "the bungalow building" (as per the expression used by the staff). The complimentary breakfast happens in the... More

Spent 1 week in this hotel over christmas and it wasnt all positive. Yes the positives are obvious: Great location right on the beautiful playa norte beach, fair price compared to other hotels close by. The "BUTs" come here: Relatively small rooms. Very noise pre-historic aircon that sounds like a freight train passing by in the middle of the night.... More

This place is quite basic. It was reasonably clean and the beds were comfortable, but nobody would mistake it for luxury accommodations. Reminds me a bit of the places I used to stay as a student. The location is very good -- right on the beach. So you are really paying for location.

First off, I love this hotel. Been going there for many years. Disappointed this trip to learn on arrival that it was under major construction. I wish they would have informed me up front. They did provide an alternative hotel; however, had I know we would have made reservations elsewhere.

The hotel was good for the money. The hotel is expanding and building additional rooms and upon checking in, we were immediately told about the construction and asked if we wanted to move to a sister hotel because they were scheduled to work from 7am until 8pm. Being that we weren't planning on staying in the room but to sleep... More

This hotel has a true Mexican feeling and feels like home. Very simple and laid back, with a great garden and a reading room called Diego Rivera, with lots of old pictures of Mexican artists. We stayed in cabana 16, which was spacious and had a very clean bathroom and hot water. The sheets are very clean, and it has... More

perfect for come down after a long flight to cancun - less than an hour from airport, unspectacular, inexpensive, clean, close to 'playa norte', THE most beautiful beach of the island, walking easily accessible from the port, as well as in the inner city, breakfast nearby OK (coffee, juice and 2 toasts with butter and kam)
