We were supposed to be in the "Mayab Bungalo" but the room was dank and dark with no view whatsoever (barely a window) and hardly worth the cost. We complained of a moldy smell and immediately were moved to a third floor room with a sea view and balcony with rocking chairs. The room was brand new and was incredibly... More

We booked two nights at Villa Kiin and wouldn't have stayed if we hadn't paid in advance: - staff is very unpleasant making the only request as painful as they can; - rooms are very expensive for what we get : old rooms, dirty (incl. towels !), noisy, no pressure in your shower, etc.; - a beach that is really... The hotel is located on a really nice quiet beach. There is big differences in the rooms, even those who are on the same price range, ask to see them before closing the reservation if its possible. the first room we stayed at had cockroaches and the A/C was very loud, after we changed roomes we got a refurbished room... Great location, snorkeling in beach out front, hammock gardens, clean rooms, beautiful views, great landscaping, nice workers. The air conditioning worked great. Great place for people with young kids (ours were 3 & 5). A golf cart for rent showed up 10 minutes after we asked for it. Wifi is only in reception and a bit weak, but that is... More

We have been to Isla many times, always staying at Avalon (now Mia Reef). Given the huge price increase at Mia, we decided the check other options. Villa Kiin turned out to be a great choice. It is located directly across from Mia Reef, on the small local beach. It's easy to reach the reef by Mia from here, this... More

Best location on the island. Just right for the vacationer looking for a nice place without the high prices. We have been coming her for over 12 years. No restaurant on site. Not to worry, just cross the street and there are two. Bring your snorkel gear and some bread to feed the fish in the lagoon.

Very cool garden, deck and quiet beach. Reasonable price. Clean. Had a real island vibe to it. Room was very basic--decent bed, a functioning but very loud AC--a simple bathroom. It was just what we were looking for.

We have stayed at the Villa Kiin now for the last four or five years in Isla. It is beyond wonderful. The rooms are sweet and quaint clean and well cared for. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The grounds are lovely and beautiful and so well taken care of. The water front beach is right there at your... More

You really can't beat the location of this place - as evidenced by the oodles of locals that stake out here for the day. There is a breakwater that makes it the perfect place to swim with kids. There is a fabulous hammock garden on the hotel property but if you want to get a lawn chair to lay on... More

This hotel is a gem. The view and the beach can’t be beat, especially for the price. The grounds are pleasant. The water in front is beautiful and shallow and perfect for snorkeling. We stayed in a second floor Pakal room (23). The room was quaint, pleasant and clean. There also was a balcony with a table and chairs for... More
