My husband and I stayed at Villa Kiin four nights and enjoyed it. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to everything we needed and right on the beach. The hammock garden provided a welcomed respite from the sun and heat of Isla. The beach out front gets quite crowded so we stayed there in the morning,... More

Well, I’ve been more than 10 times to Mexico, different places from Cozumel to Cancun. Stayed at different hotels like Fiesta Americana Grand Corral, Ritz Carlton(did not write a review as Ritz Carton is Ritz Carlton-no review is necessary). I used to stay at Avalon across the bay, not it is all inclusive MIA-highly overpriced. It is under serious construction... More

Most of the reviews were spot on. Great location, near good food and drink, away from much of the day crowds and not at all expensive. Other than location, you get what you pay for which is not much. We had to ask for towels, the water did not work an entire afternoon, no wifi, phone or clocks; it has... More

Off season, Villa Kiin is a good value in Isla Mujeres. During my stay this May 2014, the room was about $75 a night. Located right on Punta Norte and across the street from the elegant Na Balam Spa/Hotel, it was a good find. Having stayed at Cabanas Maria del Mar right down the street twice before, I will choose... My boyfriend and I stayed at Villa Kiin for a week earlier this month. We had a GREAT experience and would recommend the Hotel Villa Kiin. If you are looking for a "resort" style location with lots of activities and amenities, then you need to increase your budget (by A LOT!) and stay elsewhere. If you are looking for a... More

According to several booking pages there was no room available for my chosen nights (I would have needed to change rooms after the first night) - so I got into email contact and the lady at the reception was extremely helpful and made arrangements so I could stay in the same room for all 3 nights. I found it to... More

Very comfortable, clean hotel right on the water with access to moderate snorkeling. Comfortable king sized bed, limited towels, not much hot water in the shower. Hotel is quiet and has nice, shady grounds complete with tables and chairs, and hammocks. Air conditioning in the room was excellent. Room was small but equipped with a big closet and a frig.

I spent 11 nights at the Villa Kiin, I would say that it is a good budget hotel. The room was a little worn, but every thing worked. The bed was comfortable and the house keeping staff did a great job cleaning and making sure supplies like soap and towels were in the room. The staff at the front desk... More

Pros: great price, nice shady grounds with plenty of places to lounge, tables to eat/drink at etcetera. Air conditioning broke and it was fixed same day. Rooms are a good size. Nice beach activity around...bar within walking distance...good swimming/snorkeling in lagoon with lots of little creatures to see. Pros: a very noisy concert next door on Saturday night that went... On our second visit to Isla Mujeres we were lucky enough to be directed to the Villa Kiin by Vicki Daines with Lost Oasis. The Villa was a very clean, quiet beachfront group of bungalows and rooms located in a quiet area of narrow beach. The bay in front of the Villa looks out directly at the Avalon 300 or... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The casa Maya hotel in Isla Mujeres was developed by owner señor Jose Lima as a Mayan town with its palm thatched bungalows around a coconut palm garden and 100 yards of beachfront. It has a wide collection of reproductions of the best Mexican painters like Diego Rivera and his wife Frida Kahlo, a large collection of books about Mexican art, architecture, Mayan culture and history and señor Lima has now converted his hotel into a bed and breakfast hotel on the beach ... more   less
