We stayed in Rm.201 from Jan26 - Feb03/07. This was the first time we had spent any time other than day trips to Isla. We knew that we would love the island but we were winging it as far as which hotel to stay at, we decided on this one after reading reviews of many on the island. We are... More

Excellent hotel!! Clean, very comfortable beds! Stayed on the 4th floor in a room with one single and one double bed. Private bath with a shower, TV, etc. Plenty of room, but don't expect mega spacious quarters!! Your time won't be spent in the room anyway - you'll be at the beach, restaurants, etc. Very nice family runs this hotel... More

My husband an I were staying in Cancun at 'mega-resort' when we decided to take a day trip to Isla Mujeres. We had been there once before with a tour group and didn't get to spend any time. So, we took the ferry boat over and spend the whole day at the principal beach (to the left of the ferry... More

My finance and I stayed at El Meson del Bucanero for a week during february. This is a small, family owned, wonderfully charming and friendly hotel. The staff are helpful to a fault, the rooms are clean and service is very well done. The airconditioner was quiet and kept the room at a very comfortable temperature. The hotel also has... More

Bucaneros is in the center of town and a 2-3 minute walk to Playa Norte. The staff are wonderful, the restaurant we thought is one of the best in town, it's clean and aesthetically pleasing. It was perfect for a romantic vacation, but would also be well suited to a family vacation. Our room and bathroom were spacious and very... More

We stayed here for two nights in January. We were in a very small room on the second floor. The rooms were clean, the employees were nice, the service in the restaurant was quick, and the price was right!

Really good value for money - close to the beach and in town - easy to get around - rooms were clean and spacious with private bath - looking to go back again next year!

I spent five nights in Isla, and stayed at Meson de Bucaneros the whole time. I was in a small room on the top floor (3rd), which meant taking the stairs, but I'm pretty fit so that was fine. (Saw some travelers who might have, errr, struggled with that.) The place is owned by a nice family. Before I went,... More
