The Bucaneros is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean. The resturant in the hotel is excellent and the cafechoco frio is an absolute MUST in the morning! We stayed over the New Year's holiday and the atmosphere was very festive. Very energetic and authentic. There were activities for young and old alike. Overall a great place... More

We recently returned from Isla and our stay at Bucaneros. We originally planned on splitting our stay between two hotels. We reserved one night at Bucaneros, two nights at the other hotel and then the last four nights at Bucaneros. As other reviews state, the rooms are clean and in a good location. However, the rooms were very noisy due... More

After reading the reviews in Tripadvisor, I booked the Bucaneros. I know Yucatan and Quintana Roo fairly well, and have also stayed in central Mexico many times. I just don't get the great reviews for Bucaneros or, for that matter, Isla Mujeres. The location is fine, but Isla is so small I don't know how a location could be bad.... More

this is a really great place. we booked our stay directly with the hotel and were really impressed with the efficient and friendly responses we received before our arrival. Our room was ready and had everything we needed..air con, a shower and clean bedding. The location can't be beat! But it's the the staff that make this place. They are... More

I found this hotel online and it seemed cheap compared to other hotels in Isla Mujeres. Its not 5 star but we found the rooms comfortable and clean, with all you'd require from a hotel room. The location was great, opposite what seemed to be the best and main restaurant on the island and only a short walk from the... More

While the Bucaneros doesn't have a pool, a beach and ocean view, it offers a variety of clean rooms for an excellent price. Our room, #305, was smaller and didn't have much space to put our clothes and stuff. The bathroom is large enough though, and very clean. I liked the big shower and its broad hot water! The room... We went to Cancun for a conference and we had reservation for two nights at casa ixchel. Due to the hurricane dean we were asked to evacuated casa ixchel on August 18, 2007. We asked the Casa ixchel if we could stay the 08/18/07 night and then make our way to the airport but the Casa ixchel hotel owner said... More

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and loved it. I first saw this hotel from the outside when I was on the Island for several hours in Jan. 2007. I checked tripadvisor for the reviews once I came home and when it came time to make my reservations I contacted the hotel directly by internet. From my first... More

This was a great place to stay. It was right in the heart of the restaurant/shopping center. The room was bright and clean. The room also had cable TV. I would stay here again. Please try the 2 restaurnants downstairs they were great. Ronaldi's is the best. I was in a group of 4 and everyone raved about the meal... More

We stayed in one of the rooms on the first floor. I thought it was an amazing value. The hotel provided purified water, which was nice for us to be able to fill up water bottles to take on different day trips. We had a fridge and electric frying pan in the room, so we could make trips to the... More
