Hotel Bucaneros is a beautiful, family run hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are really clean and comfortable and some even have a kitchenette. The location is great- centrally located, so close to everything. Also, breakfast is included. My husband and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Isla Mujeres :-)

If reading this review, please understand that our experience was very individualistic to our circumstances. In the past, I have written nothing but positive, glowing remarks about our stay at Hotel Bucaneros. I am afraid that our last stay might be just that; our last. At the urging of my traveling companion and I, we returned to Isla Mujeres, one... More

Enjoyed a few nights at the Hotel, street noise is there but didn't find it was excessive. although I stayed on the 3rd floor near the back of the building. Location is ideal to explore the island and beaches with easy access back to the ferry terminal. Staff was very friendly and recommended nearby restaurants to enjoy. Would stay here... More

The hotel is in a great location, steps away from lots of restaurants. It's just a few short blocks from the ferry terminal and a variety of beaches. The room was clean and well maintained. You can hear sounds from the street below, especially the occasional street performer musicians, but it's not too bad and concludes around 9 pm. There... More

This review is general to specific to the standard room # 102 which overlooks the bustling street below. Travelers must be able to negotiate stairs. No room is on ground floor. There is no elevator. Street noise begins at 7 am and rises to a crescendo by 9pm, ending around midnight. Pack your earplugs. Owners of businesses on the street... More

In early January, my boyfriend and I stayed at Bucaneros for several days. This hotel is the best ever! Extremely clean, extremely great service, and wonderful location. We were close to the beach and close to restaurants, bars, and shops. No need to rent a golf cart, explore this island on foot! Call the hotel and book a suite, it... More

We have just spent 6 days on Isla Mujeras, at the Hotel Bucaneros. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The rooms contain a small safe for valuables, but it is a $40 deposit for the safe key(refundable when returning the lock and receipt). Beach towels are provided with a $20 deposit(again refundable), and you get clean beach towels daily.... More

Nice hotel on Hidalgo street in the center of all the action. Rooms facing the street have balconies so you can sit out on them at night time and listen to all the lovely music on the streets. It got a bit noisy until about 2am so if you're looking for a quiet room you should ask for one that... More

We liked the hotel. There were many things wrong, but being affordable, clean and on a perfect location (downtown and walking distance from 3 different beaches) with free beach towels - beats all the minuses. But, since I do want to return, here are my suggestions : please have some more water pressure in the shower, please have eggs for... More
