Friendly, organized and clean, Bucaneros was a great place to stay on the island. Good internet, good breakfast and not too noisy even though it's right on Av Hidalgo. The only downside is no real common area to hang out in but other than that everything was great. More

We stayed two nights in the 203 room. The room is small, but really comfortable for a couple. The hotel is clean, well located and safe. We enjoyed our stay. More

This was our third stay at Bucaneros. Bucaneros is excellent value. We submitted two previous reviews of the small economy rooms 103 & 203. As a rule they are sold out of their larger rooms well in advance of high holiday season. We missed the boat last year and had to stay at Maria del Mar, which was sort of... More

We have stayed with Bucaneros twice this year. Our first time in March, 2011 and again this past September 2011. Bucaneros is a family operated business and you can feel and physically see the amount of love and passion they put into the business. Clean, Safe, and the most humble and terrific people on the island. Great value and perfect... More

I spent 8 days at bucaneros, room 103. Its a small room, but being solo, it was the right size for me. During the time I was there the staff was very helpful and responsive. I rented a bicycle for the total time there and it was no problem parking it at night in the courtyard. The location was very... More

We arrived to isla mujeres to have 5 nights of relaxation. We booked 1 night in Hotel Bucaneros, because we were not sure about it. We arrived and got a room on the second floor, with a double bed, closet, safe box, private bathroom, towels, AC and a small TV. The room was extremely small (it was the cheapest one,... More

Place is family owned and it shows. The staff was kind and attentive and spoke English well enough to help us. We stayed for 10 days in the off season and absolutely loved it. The location is great, located in the dead center of downtown. It's a great spot for foodies since you have quite a great selection of mexican/cuban/etc... More
