We will be coming back to stay at Hotel Las Palmas. We spent 7 nights there and had a wonderful stay. This was our second trip to the island and much more enjoyable that our first stay a a big resort. For those that are looking for more of a personable hotel, Las Palmas is the one. We were very... more

My new hubby and I had an wonderfull stay at Las Palmas! Kate and her family were there for any thing we needed and for great conversation. Love the simplicity of the rooms and they have the best cleaning lady ever. I think she even cleaned my dirty sunglasses that were left on the table! I would not recomend this... more

We just spent a week there earlier this month. Kate and Safari are some of the nicest people. The hotel has a cool, funky vibe! Very clean, everything freshly painted, great courtyard and SUPERB rooftop for daytime sunning/cooling off in dip pool, night time breezes and drinks under the stars! Quiet, but good location and I felt secure for my... more

We spent 4 nights in Las Palmas in August and loved it. It is a very peaceful relaxing place and Kate is a wonderful hostess. She really helps you to get the most from you stay on the island without putting you under any pressure to follow her advice. We took golf carts around the island one day and went... more

It feels like coming home. Kate is one of the kindest people that I have ever met and is sure to make your stay on Isla Mujeres the most relaxing, friendliest experience you've had. I can understand why people keep coming back to this little piece of paradise. Thanks Kate! more

My husband and I recently traveled to Isla Mujeres on the recommendation of several travel boards. Our expectations of a great trip was fully met and we consider ourselves new "Isla Addicts". The task of choosing a hotel on Isla can be difficult because there are just so many great options to fit every type of traveler and budget. We... more

I have stayed in hundreds of hotels throughout Mexico, Central America, and the Carribean. Rarely have I encountered a place like Las Palmas. Kate, the owner, lives on site and treats the common areas of the hotel as if they were her living room. She treats you as if you were a guest in her home. The coutyard is overflowing... more

I took my son to Mexico, in celebration of his graduation from High School. My plan -- fly to Cancun, spend a few days on Isla Mujares acclimating, tour the Yucatan. We spent the first night in a musty room at a beachfront hotel, with a pool. In the morning, we discovered that the hotel, by placing a small white... more
