We stayed in the upstairs apartment. Amy, the owner, is extremely friendly and helpful. The apartment has a large balcony which overlooks the sea. One night a turtle came ashore to lay eggs, which was great to see. The apartment is within walking distance of a large supermarket and a 20 minute walk (or 40 peso taxi ride) away from... More

Punta Piedra has become our home away from home when we vacation on Isla Mujeres. We have stayed in 4 of the different room options and have been pleased with each. Each room has slight differences that make it unique. My sister-in-law commented the bed was one of the most comfortable she has had on vacation. There are plenty of... More

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 1 week after 2 weeks travelling around Mexico. It was exactly what we needed and provided a very relaxed environment. We stayed in Punta piedra 1 which is a small studio containing a double bed, mini kitchen, AC, TV, bathroom and storage for clothes. This was exactly what we needed to make the... More

Location: On a beautiful peaceful spot of the island. Private beach stretch for relaxing-loungers included (cant swim here but great for enjoying a peaceful morning by the sea). A bit far from north beach but taxis are easy to catch from outside-this is also a plus as the town is a bit tacky and touristy. Owner: The owner is nice... More

It was our first time last June 2013 and booked another trip this coming June 2014.. The snorkeling is fantastic right in front of the rooms and view. The Restaurants are wonderful! Loved having the view and swimming pool so close! Debby

We stayed here again in October, 2009 and forgot to write a review. We are headed back in January, 2014 so that was my reminder...We have stayed at Punta Piedra in one of the smaller units - there are 4 - on the ground floor. When we arrived we were informed that the air was broken in the unit we... More

We stayed here from June 25th until July 2.. This was our first time to Isla and at first I was a little concerned we were not closer to downtown.. Turns out we were glad we were not closer to downtown.. We loved this location! We did rent a golf cart for our entire stay.. The room was Clean but... More

Over the past 9 years we have stayed at just about all of the Punta Piedra properties; the studios at PP 1, the apartment at PP 2 and Casa PP and do not honestly have a favorite. They are all great and unique in their own way. On our last visit, in March, 2013, we spent our first week at... More

We returned to IM for our annual new years vacation. We have always stayed closer to downtown so I was a bit concerned about staying "out this far" out. Turns out we absolutely loved it! It was about a 15 minute walk into town or about 8 minutes into the neighborhood area of the island. Taxis and buses go by... More

Every time I plan a trip to Isla Mujeres, I look at all the accommodation options, and end up at Punta Piedra again (and will be staying there for my 5th time this winter). For a woman traveling solo, it is perfect. The owner, Amy, is a very friendly woman originally from the U.S. She and her family live just... More
