We have SO many mixed feelings about Villa Vera, so I'll break it down into sections. And let me say too that I am typically VERY easy to please. I can overlook a lot. Getting There: Don't be suckered into the trip selling people at the airport (they're to the left as you're walking outside). They make it sound like... more

I am writing this as I am still at Villa Vera. Have been here for 6 days and love this place. Let me join all the other favorable comments and add my own twist on this place. First, this is quality design and construction, something we have not seen at bigger resort properties in Mexico. This means the grounds are... more

My husband and I love Villa Vera and again took advantage of special pricing the last week of March into April. The location is good - in the center of the island, away from the noise and activity of town but close enough - a short taxi or golf cart ride or walk if you like - to the restaurants,... more

Those who have been to Isla Mujeres know that it is truely an amazing place...no bustling streets, loud noises, touristy crowds or miles of American franchises (Ruth's Chris/Wal-Mart/Costco, etc) like in Cancun. Only minutes from the mainland, this little island still offers vacationers a luxurious, yet quaint and comfortable place to travel and feel like a local! Villa Vera offers... more

One year after my first trip to the charming Island of Isla Mujeres, it began to call me once again in the late summer of 2008. I felt that, in my first trip there, I had only lightly brushed the opportunities that exist on this beautiful and charming little Island. I found an outstanding value on a room at Villa... more

This was our second vacation at Villa Vera. I posted a review previously. This time my wife and I went with our 15 year old daughter. We spent a week between Christmas, 2008 and New Year, 2009. We were all very pleased with Villa Vera. We are Raintree owners and look forward to returning to Villa Vera. The grounds and... more

My son and I booked 4 nights through Diamond Resorts (formerly Sunterra) at Villa Vera in November, 2008. We did 2 days of scuba diving--arranged through the concierge at Villa Vera. The diving was great and we enjoyed being picked up at Villa Vera. We went to Chichen Itza the 3rd day. Chichen Itza is spectacular. One downside--the tour bus... more

We are Raintree Vacation Club (RVC) owner. Villa Vera at Isla Mujeres is one of RVC properties, so we book 2 night stay directly through RVC (and not via RCI). Due to insufficent points, we book 1 night master suite, one night villa. We like both. First of all, Isla Mujeres is really a nice island to visit. Unlike Cancun... more

The Villa Vera was a very welcome breather after spending a week at Cancun. This is just the kind of place that my wife and I would look for, and we sort of stumbled on this place through a time-share exchange. We weren't sure what to expect, with it being on a marina, but in my book this place is... more

We stayed a week at Villa Vera in late October 2007. What a great property! We normally stay right on the beach - but booked this through our RCI exchange. We were pleasantly suprised with the accomodations. We had a third floor room with the outdoor jacuzzi (like you see on the website), but it did not work. The staff... more
