Resort was very close to large supermarket. Many people rent golf carts for a week; we rented one for a day ($50) and saw everything we wanted to see. Cabs are only $4-$5 to go just about anywhere on the island. Bali-Hoo restaurant downtown (by pier) has the biggest and best margarita's, but were $12 each; say "hi" to Alex... More

We stayed at the Villa Vera also known as the Isla Mujeras Yacht and Tennis Club last week. The place is immaculate, very nice rooms, huge swimming pool and well manicured grounds. Very quiet and safe. There was a guard at all times at the entrance. Everyone was very friendly. It is located mid-island so you need a golf cart... More

First of all, I must make clear that we just used the facilities and did not stay. I am travelling with my mum and sister and our kids who are all 5 and under.. It costs 250 pesos for an adult to get in here. Free for kids under 5. This money can be put towards drinks and meals. The... More

We chose to book at a Raintree Vacation Club resort rather than trade with RCI which has been a disappointment every time. We were able to get a villa and it was very spacious, well laid out and quiet. The bedroom and a large bathroom are upstairs. The kitchen is small but adequate. The pool was fabulous, large, warm and... More

First the good: the pool is HUGE and the grounds really are kept nice. You can tell that not that long ago, this place was something really special. The problem is that it seems to still want to be a resort, but it's really just a hotel. We had a lower level room that was plenty spacious, and there was... More

This place is beautiful! But not really functional. First, our hot tub on our balcony was broken. They couldn't get us another room with one so we used our room's garbage can to fill hot water from the bathroom to fill up the hot tub...which was more of a lukewarm tub by the time we could get in. The toilet... More

We just got back from a week's stay at the Villa Vera as we are Raintree owners and it was a very well kept resort a bit off the beaten path. The staff is very nice and the grounds are kept quite clean. It is located a bit out of the way and is mostly used as a marina for... More

We stayed at the Villa Vera for a week and it was great. The hotel is very laid back and quiet, not a party place. Our room was huge with plenty of amenities. The pool was great and only 75 feet from our room. The swim up bar was nice but their menu of food items is a bit small.... More

We came here based on a recommendation of a local restaurant owner and were absolutely delighted to come here. The owner is a very nice person, who normally charges 350 pesos for a double room with air conditioning but as this is the low season we got it for 300 pesos (we stayed for more than one night which helps).... I did not realize this was actually an exchange. I paid for 3 nights before going to The Reef, (Old Avalon). Everyone I talked to there were owners. This is a very nice small complex on the lagoon waterways, lots of boats and docks. Very Very clean with a nice walk and Iguana's every where. Location quite, well kept and... More
