Stayed with family in a standard room. Fantastic view steps from the beach! Unfortunately the room was badly in need of some TLC, a good clean and decent bed linens (Old smelly pillows and blankets, sand in our sheets? broken bathroom cabinet and wardrobe? No excuse). Unfriendly, unsmiling girl at front desk should not work in tourism, but the manager... More

May be the best location on the island due to the fact that it has direct beach access (although swimming is tough due to the coral formations) with no vendors, very quiet beach, and only a few steps from all of the loud fun party beach areas. Close to several really good restaurants. We were in the bungalow and it... More

This hotel is exactly what we had hoped for. It is the perfect combination of affordable price, tremendous location and well maintained facilities. The rooms are not modern, but they are clean and well kept. Now the pool, patios and decks are incredible. The entire outdoor space of this hotel sit right next to the ocean. We spent lots of... This was my 4th time back to Playa La Media Luna. The desk staff has always been polite and helpful and their english is very good. The management has obviously kept up an aggressive maintenance program, which is almost essential in the salt water environment surrounding the hotel. I have stayed in a first floor and second floor room and... More

We stayed at Hotel Playa Media Luna for 4 nights and enjoyed our visit. I knew in advance from reading other TripAdvisor reviews that the hotel was not up to date and in need of renovations, but you can’t take away the beautiful ocean view and listening to the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks and beach at... This hotel is very small about 18 units I believe. Great location and extremely beautiful view. It is very quiet and and you cannot beat hanging on the pool looking over the ocean about another 50 yards away. We upgraded to a premium room on the top floor with a beautiful patio and outdoor hot tub. Worth it!. If you... More

Rooms are clean and comfortable but slightly overpriced. Save your money and get cheaper room. If you are looking for beach bar service during the day know that they have it delivered from elsewhere and its not very fresh. Friendly staff. Good location. Quite, yet close enough to town. Nice beach and view out from rooms. Beaches close by and... More

Intro We’ve been on Isla Mujeres a doze times, stayed in about 20 different places so far. Never stayed in this hotel before, although we had a look at it in our previous stays. We stayed in La Playa Media Luna for 5 nights. We booked quite late, about 2 weeks at forehand. And in the busiest time of the... More

Small. 18 rooms only. Setting as picturesque as it gets. Ocean waves smashing on rocks in bay out front. Def worth the king jacuzzi upgrade. Request third floor if you want sunny balcony. Walk to town. Many good restaurants close. Golf cart for your stay at $50/day... Not for everyone if the all-inclusive "corporate thing" is on your mind. Perfect... More

We stayed here for our second trip to Isla Mujeres. We had previously stayed at Privileges and did the all inclusive package, but this trip we were trying to be more cost conscious and were really there to enjoy the island more than our accommodations, and this hotel was a great fit. Its a small, quiet hotel with a beautiful... More
