We stayed at a different hotel last year, it was nice BUT this hotel is the BEST! Beautiful place, secluded, clean, a/c, pool overlooks the ocean....looks like something for just the richest people, but it's not....very affordable.

This is a great value hotel. Clean, comfortable, decent service, not fancy. Pool area is nice. Would recommend a ground floor ocean side room if you can book one. short walk to town for dinner, shopping...slightly longer walk to the ocean. Would recommend to travelers who want to explore the island, go fishing or diving and not spend a bunch... More

Let me start by saying that I rated Playa La Media Luna based upon what it is- a charming, reasonably priced non-chain hotel in a beautiful location, with friendly staff. If you are looking for a 5 star resort, this is not one, does not pretend to be one, and doesn't cost nearly as much as one. I did my... More

This place was beautiful, in a great location, and yet secluded. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the coffee was delicious. The rooms were well maintained and very comfortable. I would definitely come back here again.

We rented the lovey Casa Aqua and overflowed to the hotel Playa La Media Luna, they operate the beach house . Our party of 10 enjoyed a great fishing via the hotel with Keen M sports fishing catching 3 sailfish on 1 trip! The house, Casa Aqua was perfectly situated on North Beach. We spent our days by the pool... More

The hotel has its good parts - good location and views but is let down by weaker areas. You aren't made to feel super welcome as staff sat behind a glass panel and only came out if they see you - very different to other more welcoming hotels we stayed in Mexico where you feel at home to begin with.... This hotel has good and not so good attributes. The location is beautiful and serene and vendors do not bother you. The hotel staff is accommodating but only to a certain point, I wouldn't say friendly. This is an area that could use improvement. The "breakfast" is crap. Pre packaged food and lame selection of fruit which ends at 10:30...not... More

Great beach-front hotel. We rode our golf cart all over this island and we didn’t see a place that we would have rather stayed. It’s quiet and serene with a beautiful pool area overlooking the ocean. Yet it’s a 5 minute walk to North Beach or Hidalgo. We had a king Jacuzzi suite on the 3rd floor. The balcony was... More

My husband and I picked this one out of the hat! Boy were we lucky. This hotel was perfect. Pool, beach and awesome sunrise views every morning. Entertainment and good restaurants around the corner at the Fenix. We rented a cart and walked around town in the morning and evenings to dinner. The hotel management and amenities were all we... Small hotel with one of the most beautiful views on the island! Just a few blocks from the ferry, close to North beach, and downtown area all within walking distance. All rooms face the pool which looks out over the ocean. We had #14, comfortable king bed, very clean, good shower always hot water. There was a coffee maker in... More
